We spent 3 nights at Casa de los Fundadores. This was our first trip to villa de leyva and we wanted to experience the colonial sensibility of the region. The hotel is spacious with beautifully manicured grounds and stunning views of the mountain range. The rooms are ok, nothing fancy but tranquil and comfortable. The restaurant offers a diverse menu and the food is very good and reasonably priced. The best part of the hotel is the service. Outstanding! Granted, we were the only guests since it was midweek and off season but it is clear that the staff is very well trained. The pool was a disappointment, it did not look clean, the hot tub was broken and the sauna was not hot. The shower is lukewarm at best but it is normal for locals. We had a great experience both in the hotel and the beautiful town which is a must see!…
This is a nice hotel with a great location just few minutes by car from the main square. Room with adequate space and simple decoration. Beautiful bar with a great chimney. Complete spa but the area is a bit cold despite being indoors. Silent and peaceful place full of gardens and tres. Good restaurant. If you want a peaceful stay, this is the place.
Villa de Leyva was a fantastic surprise for me. I went there to have an offsite with my team. The hotel is very nice yet basic. The staff is quite helpful and kind. The food was good. The rooms have good size and are clean. Services are not quite good. Internet is super slow. The gym is old and quite limited. If you plan to visit Villa de Leyva this is a good choice.
The hotel is great, has great staff, lovely surroundings, and the rooms were incredible. The pool is also good, but you have to take a swimming cap with you (else, you'll have to buy one). The food is great too. The hotel is located a bit far from the town, so you'll have to take a cab or get a car to get there.
A place outside town, very calm and quiet, surrounded by beautiful nature and nice view of the mountains. Large nice gardens; an indoor, warmed, swimming pool. Restaurant with nice typical food and nice breakfast. Our rooms were spacy and had a window with a nice view over the natural surroundings. The service at the front desk, and at the restaurant (what a commitment to service from Zeus) was fantastic. Good parking lot. If you are planning to enjoy town, specially at night, the hotel may be a bit far away to walk, very close to town if you have a car.
We had an amazing time in Villa de Leyva, the staff was very friendly and helpful, We had a lovely Xmas night! Typical Boyacense food and great music! Rooms were cozy and comfortable, everything was just on point!
We went to Villa de Leyva to attend a wedding and we stayed in this hotel. Even though we only slept at the hotel, the rooms were clean, comfortable and the front desk attendant was very nice. Will come back to try the food and the many amenities the hotel offers.
Nice hotel with good installations, very friendly service and confortable rooms. Drawback would be distance from town and lack of transport. Nonetheless, its close enough and the service more than compensates!
We stayed here for a long weekend. This is a superb hotel, with a wide range of activitiy options for our toddler: horses, cows, chickens, parrots, toads and a peacock were all spotted during our stay. The pool, suana, steam room, and jacuzzi area were comfortable, well maintained, and had cold, fresh water on offer. The restaurant, where we only had breakfast, had a delicious buffet. We had envueltos (like corn tamales), eggs made to order with sausage, corn and cheese, fresh fruit (melon and papaya), fresh-squeezed ornage juice, and cereal with yogurt. The service was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean. We will definitely return and recommend this place to friends. The location, just outside of Villa de Leyva, offered expansive views of the mountains and trees.
All the hotel its average, the rooms, the beauty products, etc. It´s a quite place, beautiful garden. The price is elevated and the hotel it's no five stars. They can improve the quality of the products and modernize the room key for example.
