We booked this place last minute on Easter weekend as it was the only place in Connaught still vacant and now i see why. I wish i had checked trip advisor first. The driveway up the hill was very badly laden with pot holes like ive never seen; the front of the house had not seen a lick of paint...

We stayed in No. 8 Tramore Holiday homes recently. When we drove up to the house (avoiding the potholes) on arrival on Saturday we were speechless, and not in a good way! The exterior of the house looked like something you’d see in a war torn city. The paint was peeling off it, the walkway up to the house was...

Many of the houses run down and in need of repair. Stayed at no.7 first 2 weeks of july 2015. Only for we had travelled so far to there n paid for 2 weeks, we'd have left straight away. Dream ireland advertised the house and took the booking but when we complained to them they claimed the houses were being...

Achill is really, really beautiful but the house we rented (no. 12) in July 2015 was very run down. We paid 600 euro for the week and I really think it was not worth it. Here is a list of some of the things that were not right: -Cracked window -grass not cut - Old bits of plastic (from a...

There are very mixed reviews on Tripadvisor so I was not sure what to expect. The development has 15 houses and they all seem to be in various states of repair. We were lucky. The house we stayed in was perfectly clean and had everything you could expect. I presume/hope that any reputable booking agency would ensure that their houses...

This is the second stay at a Trawmore cottage, and whilst the first was an okay experience this time we were very disappointed. We stayed in number 9, around two thirds up the deeply pot-holed drive. The faults are too numerous to list here, but will be fully detailed in a letter to the owner (just in case they are...

We spent a weekend in the cottage on the top of the hill and had a great experience. It seems that the cottages are owned by different people so the experience you have depends on your owner. 2 of the cottages are in fact lived in according to local people. Another group of friends stayed in another cottage further down...
