Thos hotel treat our family well. Only what is minus is the price and 40€ for extra bed is quite high on top of room price. Price maybe not match fully now days situation but hotel is under renovation so that may be one reason. Hotel room was very large and on good condition to our family. Seaside view were plus. Our kids have enough space to play in room. Poola outside and inside were nice and weather was perfect. Feels like holiday on abroad. Location was perfect. And final cherry top of pie. Breakfast was very good and tasty. I did not have any bad say from any food in breakfast. Every food were great. Especially pancake, smoked salmon, aplle juice and shots.

We stayed 3 nights in a room with balcony on the seaside on the fourth floor. The location is very central in between the sea and the center. The room is spacious but outdated. The wifi was a bit slow. The bathroom had both a shower and bath and included Rituals products. Everything was clean. The breakfast was very nice, and included ginger shots, kombucha, fresh orange juice, fruits, yoghurt (incl. oat yoghurt), several super foods (e.g. chia seeds and goji berries), muesli, breads, egg, bacon etc. We liked that there was also the local Åland pancake with plums. At the moment of visit the hotel was under renovation, but we didn't hear any noice. The swimming pool was open from 17-19h and was nice to swim a few laps. At the day of checkout we asked to checkout one hour later and this was no problem. The staff was all very friendly. Would recommend to stay.

The hotel sits beautifully on the eastern shoreline, centrally, and an easy reach. Approaching it, the outside looks rather outdated, but typically Swinging Seventies indeed. Arkipelag must have been the real shining star of Mariehamn in its younger days! Still nice, and the interior looks proper indeed, clean and nice. Refurbishments have been made, but in honesty, there are needs left for even more... we satyed two nights, had a very comfy suite on the top floor, unfortunately not overlooking the sea. Nice bedroom, lovely beds, nice balconies, lovely little ’living room’, and, believe it or not, the own sauna! As for the rest of the building, the have both bar and restaurant, but we utilised neither. The breakfast was good, and the service, a nice mix of formal polite and cozy. The best, however, was the welcome they had served in the room: fresh fruit, candy, a dmall bottle of German sekt. The worst: noise, so ask for a room on the sea-side. Annoying: very few electric sockets in the room... certainly built before personal computers and mobile phones even existed! So, for exploring Mariehamn, yes, a good setting. Good parking, and also charging for EV:s, next to the hotel parking.

This pleasant hotel has a nice location across from the water. The rooms are standard. The hotel staff is cordial but not overly friendly or helpful. The breakfast is a bit lacking. The dinner restaurant is average. Overall, the hotel is about what you would expect in a small town.

We had a wedding in the family and the couple had selected us this hotel. Since it was my first trip here, we just booked the hotel acc instructions in the invitation. Wondered a Little about the price which was 168 euros, but thought that the hotel must be super. As stated in the reviews. Arrived yesterday: hotel looks run down outside, inside restaurant etc straight from the eighties, room normal and clean, breakfast ok. But the price given to the wedding group (60-70 persons) was just ripping us off. You get a suite with this price in other similar small towns. Are the reviews done by hotel staff? Seem like written by same person. Emphasis on local food - Who gives a hoot about that? Also other comments seem repetitive. Ok. It is posible that others have paid normal fees of their rooms. Then I might be happier about the sea views etc.
