Booked Hotell Esplanad but got a message from them saying it's closed until 2021, so they transferred us to Hotel Cikada for the same price. Check my review on Hotel Cikada: https://www.tripadvisor.se/Hotel_Review-g676315-d1644612-Reviews-or5-Hotel_Cikada-Mariehamn_Aland_Island_Aland.html#REVIEWS

I chose this hotel, because it was centrally located. Free parking, but reserve the place early. The rooms are though very Basic, and there was a light smell in the bathroom. Nothing wrong with the bed, but I was needing a table with a chair to work with my laptop. The breakfast was rich, but the restaurant was very modest.

This is a quite simple, but centrally located (what's not centrally located) hotel in Mariehamn, Åland. The staff was very friendly and the room spotless. Staying there lets you use the sauna and pool at their other hotel, Cikada, if you feel for it. The price is in the lower range and breakfast is included in the price. N.b. that the reception might not always be manned, but someone will be there within ten minutes of a phone call.

We had reserved a room online with an idea to have room for two persons. Still something had went wrong and upon arrival we heard that the room for us is only for one person. However, the staff was really professional and friendly and solved this issue by adding a free extra bed in our room (all rooms were booked) . We stayed two nights at this place and despite the first reaction outside, this place was really cozy and had all that we needed for. The room was very clean and a big positive plus was that staff members in reception spoke Finnish fluently. A breakfast was also great at this price level and they had also gluten free bread available when asked. So all in all I will definitely recommend this place to stay!

Stayed here for one night. Got the room key from the reception at arrival (called my arrival time prior arrival) which is not manned 24/7 this time of the year, as indicated on the hotel website. Room was really basic but clean. Hotel (guests) itself were quiet but I had a room on the street side so the traffic noise came in. It didn't matter that much for me though. Breakfast was included in the price. Bacon and sausages were also available at the breakfast which was a bit surprise for me, a positive one. In overall, very basic hotel but also at a basic price. Can't complain!
