We'd expected a comfortable and quiet few days in the middle of nowhere. What we got was a truly lovely experience of old school hospitality from Annaline, some truly delicious meals, the feeling of being one of the family and the chance (on her advice) to explore the fascinating self-drive game park of Botsalano.

We stayed at Mbewa Cabins in September to get away from it all to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We loved the peace and quiet. Annalien was the absolutely perfect host. It was like being away from home yet we felt at home. Annalien certainly impresses with her food (breakfast and dinner). Your bread was he most delicious I have ever...

Beautiful place with comfortable rooms. The reception was friendly and the supper was brilliant. Great value for money. Great attention to detail in the rooms. Only problem was the "open" toilet in the room.

Can not be much better. If You tell the management the day before then You get anything from the braai. The only thing is it to cheap! Best regards, Kristian from Sweden 151231/160102. Very clean. A good place to stay when You shall go to Madekwi NP. This park is also very good. Thakadu River Camp is a good place...

Our second and third stay at Mbewa cabins couldn't have been more pleasant. Annalien is the best host (and cook!) you could possibly think of. The chalets are incredibly comfortable, cosy, neat and clean. As returning guests we almost felt like members of the family. We'll be back :)

Annalien, the owner of Mweba Cabins, is really a wonderful host. No request is out of limits for her. The nature around the cabins is beautiful and the cabins themselves are well looked after, spotless, with lovely crisp linen. All the amenities are on hand in the cabins, except TV, which is not of concern due to the beautiful outdoors....

After a long days drive we were delighted to find Mbewa to be such a nice stop over. Anneline and her husband were both very hospitable. Our cabin had everything and more than you could hope for and beautifully clean. The beds were very comfortable with lovely crisp white linen and a very welcome electric blanket. As independant travellers from...

We spent a night at Mbewa in early September - very lazily breaking a trip to Madikwe. It is everything the reviews state - an oasis with all the facilities you could wish for and, in Annelien, the archetype of old school hospitality. We ate delicious (and excellent value for money) dinner and breakfast with her - but absolutely everything...

Mbewa cabins is one of the few places I really think twice before I start reviewing. For the simple reason that too many glowing reviews lower my chance of finding availability next time... It's been a short but wonderful stay. After a warm welcome Annelin even drove me to her family doctor to provide a solid treatment of my sinusitis...

Amazing reception by Annelien, warm beds, electric blankets switched on prior to arrival, real ground coffee and cherry to warm us up, lovely beds and linen, wish we could stay longer that just sleep over to Nam. Will see us again.
