We have just arrived home from an amazing two week holiday as a family of 6 which included 4 children aged 17,14,11 and 4 and we couldn’t be happier. The staff made us feel extremely welcome and couldn’t do enough for us special mention to Christos, arthr and hope my kids loved you. The rooms are basic but large and clean and was cleaned every other day by the lovely cleaner, seeing some of the comments on here moaning about the rooms is misleading, if you’re expecting 5* accommodation then pay for it! The area is beautiful and within a stones throw from the beach and every restaurant you could wish for, we visited almost every one for either lunch and dinner and apart from one dinner we couldn’t fault the food. The pictures on here honestly do not do justice to either the apartments or the area in general! The children’s pool is large as it the big pool and is cleaned every night as are the sun beds. COVID is taken very seriously there and you have your temperature taken every morning by Hope and face masks are mandatory in all shops. All in all this was our best family holiday and we cannot wait to return next year 😁 thank you The Darling family

We stayed here Monday - Saturday after booking a last minute holiday and was hoping it would just be a nice hotel for our break. We got there 10pm Monday and did have to wait 30-40 minutes for the manager to check us in but we were given a nice cold bottle of water while we waited. I saw other couples come at a similar time and they got checked in straight away so I think it was just unfortunate that we got there when we did and the manager had gone to get some shopping before the stores closed.

We were in room 1 in block B, it was a spacious room. You had your bathroom to the right when you walked in it was small but had an amazing shower with good water pressure and it got nice and hot quickly. They did provide a shower mat as well as the floor does get very slippy when wet. The kitchen area had a little fridge and there was plenty of cutlery and utensils if you did want to make your own food while you were there you could easily do that. The bedroom had 2 single beds pushed together, they were pretty comfortable but quite firm. You had a light sheet, a thicker sheet and then there was blankets in the wardrobes if you needed them. There was a huge circular mirror on the vanity area as well as a magnifying mirror which was perfect for applying makeup for the evenings. We had a balcony area that was next to the pool bar but it was never too loud and the view was really nice. One thing I would say is that when we got there the manager said air conditioning was €4 a night but we were so tired we said we just wanted to sleep that night and we would sort all that tomorrow, the next day we realised we needed it and the price had gone up to €7 a night so purchase it when you check in.

The rooms were cleaned every day, we were out of the room by 10:30am and the cleaner never came when we were in. We were there for 6 days but we never got clean towels, you're provided with 4 when you arrive 2 big ones and 2 smaller ones for your hair we had extras so didn't ask for any but it would be a problem if we were staying longer.

The location is the biggest seller of this hotel, that and how nice the staff were. The sunbeds and pool are right next to the sea where you can go in for a dip and then there is a path to the canal d'amour attraction which is a 2 minute walk away and stunning. The path also leads to a different beach and beach bar which is about a 4 minute walk away. When you leave the hotel to your right is a strip with lots of places to eat, straight across from the hotel is another bar where you can get drinks and next to that is a shop where you can get your essentials and that's open late until around 23:30. If you carry on walking straight from the hotel there is the smelly river (you'll understand when you go) you go further and you're onto the main strip in Sidari and you'll go past an excursion place where you can book activities. The main strip has many places to eat and there's always entertainment on like tribute acts, bingo, and karaoke.
I highly recommend visiting Nefelis ice cream bar and Mediteraneo restaurant if you do visit Sidari.

Coming to the end of our 9 day holiday at canal d'amour Village the rooms where basic but big with a large balcony (block A), found all of the staff very friendly and always had time for a smile and a quick chat some people have said that the beds where hard but I found this to my liking and have had no trouble with my back as I have found due to beds in other holiday locations. Our rooms where cleaned every other day by a loverly lady with a big beaming smile who was so friendly and done a fantastic job, thank you. The area it is situated in is within a short walk of whatever you fancy plenty of restaurants and bars we only went to sidari strip once as we preferred the more relaxing atmosphere of canal d'amour, some people have mentioned the man keep telling them that the parking was private, we where asked once and I watched him one afternoon doing a fantastic job of making sure people where aware that they had to purchase to use the facilities because if it wasn't for him people actually staying at the hotel would not be able to get around the pool or parked. All in all a fantastic holiday would definitely use canal d'amour apartments again.

We have just returned from a week here, we booked based on reviews and location, unfortunately for us it didn't deliver.
We admit the location was lovely and having a sea view from your sun lounger was great but the pool area had no atmosphere. Music was being played in bar only and you couldn't hear it around pool you could hear neighbours music though. I did ask bar staff who were not friendly if they could turn music up but they said owner likes it quiet.
After that we spent most of our time on sun loungers outside Argilos Restaurant on Sidari beach.
We were allocated room B1, it was a so called refurbished room, the refurb consisted of a fancy new shower, new kitchen worktops, new wardrobe and beds.
The room otherwise was scruffy, with old and dirty bedspreads, worn out kitchen with mismatched utensils, any problems and rock hard beds. The location next to the bar also meant no views, the noise of the bar and no privacy was just awful.
The saving grace for us was the lady on reception taking our daily temp readings and the older owners who were so friendly, also the pool was immaculate and warm.
We wouldn't return but would say to anyone booking, to request a refurbished room but avoid B1 if at all possible.
Costs to also consider are €49 per week for aircon, €15 for safe per week and €25 for late checkout.

Great location and views of the D`amour
Unfortunately the rooms were very dated and in need of a good clean and renovation. Upon our arrival after a very long day traveling and the coach transfer driver couldn't fine the apartments and was very unhelpful and virtually kicked us off at the wrong location and just said down there somewhere.
Having had 2 youg children with us and suitcases in the height of the mid day sun 32+ oC this was very stressful. we managed to get to the apartment some 4 hours after landing thanks the the help of the guys at the Rock pool bar. We were greeted by the receptionist who wasn't interested in our ordeal and only wanted to tell us everything that couldn't be done because of Corvid19 (no cleaning or clean towels during our stay) we did actually get 1 room clean & 1
towel change during our stay after my wife commented on this. She then went on about how much we had to pay for room tax deposit & air con charges, (€89) Because we had a double room and 2 units which we explained that we didn't want 2 units just the one in the main bedroom we were told we couldn't do that we had to pay for 2 units. so we declined the offer. Finally After getting the keys and going to our apartment we were very disappointed at the condition of the room. It was dull and dismal and very dated with dirty surfaces shabby old kitchenette area and rooms cupboards had a strong damp smell and had to leave the doors open to air for a couple of hours to air out. no brush and dust pan or mop in the room very poorly equipped utensils and had to go to the supermarket to buy bowls so grandchildren could have their morning cereals
Although a very good view from the balcony a very disappointing stay and wouldn't recommend until it has had a re-vamp

Thank you for your review n2ntg and we will address your points as follows:- With regards to the air conditioning, you were provided with a two bedroomed apartment therefore there are two air conditioned units. It is entirely your prerogative whether you choose to use both units as this is personal preference but unfortunately we have to charge per self catering room and not per unit. We are sorry you felt that reception wasn't interested, this was indeed not the case, you will appreciate we have strict procedures to adhere to, failure to adhere would result in a complex being closed temporarily until procedures were followed, it is for this very reason that we have to be stringent and follow these to the letter. Remember you chose to holiday during a very difficult time throughout the world, it would have been a failure on our part had we not told you about the rules relating to Covid 19 restrictions. We are sorry the room was not to your satisfaction, we are currently trying to work through a renovation programme for the complex but unfortunately due to the collapse of Thomas Cook and the subsequent pandemic, we have been unable to continue and complete the schedule of works as quickly as we would have liked. With regards to your issue regarding utensils, bowls etc, you in fact could have just asked and we would have provided extra for you. Instead to chose to replenish them yourself. We trust the above answers your points raised within your review.

Stayed here for one week price ok couldn’t use air conditioning due to covid as we were on the ground floor so the room was very hot. Otherwise the room was ok very spacious and great for self catering. Had a few breakfasts at the pool bar was ok but eggs overcooked. Fantastic view and two pools the beds were very comfortable and clean. Very friendly people who own it and staff. Had our temperature took every day cause of covid which was reassuring. Everyone in the area took it seriously and we felt very safe everywhere we went although we didn’t do trips to limit the risk.

Great location and set back right on the cross roads of the main areas of sidari. Ideal spot. Hotel is very clean and the cleaning lady was lovely. Regular towels and very keen to come and clean our apartment. Staff are generally lovely and the areas I'd very well maintained . Theres a few beaches literally next to where the pool area is and it's an ideally spot to stay and relax. Loved the pool and there's always opener of beds. You get what you pay for and this is two stars so set your expectations to this level and price range and anything after this is a bonus.

Downsides. Our hotel room was above the kitchen so the odd smell drifted up and into the apartment. There's no menu at the pool bar for some reason so you don't know the prices of the good and sink or know what's available. No idea why so you have to ask them.

My wife and I have just returned from Canal D'mour, we found this jewel by accident last year as our holiday provider relocated us due to covid. We are so glad they did as on our return to resort we could enjoy it fully, the staff were outstanding nothing was to much trouble, whether it was food or drink etc. We would have a good laugh every morning at breakfast always smiling and cracking jokes. They played some lovely chill out music round the pool totally love the place and people cannot wait to go back PS one of the waiters even offered to drive us back to the airport for free as he was going into town for the day enough said thankyou so much for being so nice makes a pleasant change.

We spent a day under one of their umbrellas, on their sunbeds, very close to Canal d'Amour, in the middle of a marvelous nature scenery & had lunch at their restaurant - pretty generous menu.
Also: nice pool + showers.
The bathroom can really be better... way better...

Fantastic place can’t fault it, location is perfect, staff are so welcoming and looked after us the whole two weeks. I have an autistic son and they asked if there was anything they can do for him to make his holiday comfortable. Anggelos, Manos and Nikos are the best bar staff we have ever met on all our holidays . Been back twice now and will definitely be going back next year.
