Clean clean clean! Showers hot and good pressure, free unlimited wifi and kitchen with ranges and ovens! We went during the off season but I can see this place getting busy and people waiting on use of the facilities. Had a great stay but missed out on the oysters

A late arrival to Bluff and no accommodation booked was our downfall. It appeared lights were out in Bluff on a Monday night and the only accom to be found was the camping ground- a cabin. $40 a night each for three adults = $120, but the camp manager commented due to our late arrival he would only charge us... These guests - three senior ladies - arrived late on a wet and stormy night in a state of high anxiety. They couldn't find anywhere to stay. I didn't lower the tariff because of the unseemly booking-in hour. I did so because, as I said somewhat whimsically at the time, they "were damsels in distress." Had I not been for... More

The location is closeby to everything, as in walkable. We had a camper though, so either way. Our camper would not start one morning, and the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to assist us. The kitchen and showers were clean and modern, so no complaints.

Very expensive - fees are more than the big holiday parks. It has limited amenities. Park was not attended but a sign said pick a spot and put money in envelope. Park is very tiny. We decided to drive to Te Anau instead. If Bluff wants to attract tourists then it needs to offer better facilities for camper vans.

"Disappointed" overlooks the free showers and laundry. Also, if he, she or they had actually stayed they would have been rewarded by a stunning nighttime harbour experience - a living Van Gough painting no less. The park operated as a loss-making community service for about 75 years. It's now under private management and long overdue upgrades are planned. As "Good... More

We spent one night on a powered site glad to shelter from the cold wind. Good facilities. Payment was an honesty system and was $25 per adult so $50 for us which I considered a bit overpriced considering it was unmanned and not a holiday camp style place. Of course we paid but I'm sure many don't.

This "community campground" occupies a good position with nice views across the sea, especially from the large kitchen (no utensils). It's also conveniently located for the Stewart Island ferry. It relies on self check-in, with the manager only visiting from time to time. Although it wasn't quite as clean as most sites we stayed in, it was ok,

$50 for a couple in a van was quite pricey for the location, but the facilities were clean and adequate. We got stuck in the grass trying to get water into our van (the supply was located by the power at each site) - drove off the concrete pad trying to get close but the grass was sodden and we... A small honesty box camp, good clean facilities, shingle pads to park on, huge kitchen. WIFI had been installed but they were getting the bugs sorted out when we were there. Nice and close to the CBD such as it is, and a 10 minute walk to the ferry for Stuart island.

Quality clean campground. Best for staying in their few rooms available or in a camper van (several power sites). The wind howls through Bluff and the campground is looking out over the bay(and aluminium smelter) . Making the place a cold and not very desirable place to tent. We were going to tent, but luckily we were able to move... More
