We found this campsite to be just what we needed for our one night stay, cheap, easy access to the river and close to Pont d’ Arc. The campsite is rustic, we were allowed to choose our own plot apart from those pre-booked which meant we could select where was best for us and pitching areas were a great size for our 2/3 man tent, table, chairs, car and SUP boards. It was lovely to be able to nip down to the river in the evening to take a dip and then to be able to launch from the campsite first thing was fab! The only thing I would say that could be improved was hot water in the wash stations. The one close to us had sinks but no hot water and even at the main wash point it was barely warm (but maybe I’m being fussy!)

Really lovely location, a green, forested area with fantastic views of the river and the natural stone arch. They have an on-site restaurant with a good selection of beer and great food (try the wild boar stew!). The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are beautiful walks starting from the campsite and at reception they can book canoes/bikes/tours etc. They have wi-fi and also good bathroom/toilet facilities. Plots are quite small as it's poplar and the location is amazing.

Very like-able for many reasons: Small, but adequate level pitches on terraces leading down to a nice sandy beach (great to relax and for kids) at the river, which is very clean for swimming and bathing. They organise (very well and not expensive) the canoeing on the lively river which was one of the most fun things we've ever done and is suitable all ages from 7. One for your bucket list. Other plus points: The slightly hippy, bohemian vibe extends into the excellent, half open air restaurant (sturdy well made french cooking) and the separate open air bar and its life music (we had a great concert by a current french The Voice finalist). The staff are personal and very helpful. Cleanliness and facilities are basic, but this comes with the surroundings, if you are after a manicured pool and tacky animators this is is not for you.

Room Tip: Avoid lower pitches as they are prone to flooding during occasional thunder storms.
