Ok, we stayed at the library for two nights as part of a wedding party. We were allocated page 11 (room11). The room was classed as a suite, from what I gather the only difference between this and the other rooms was a jacuzzi bath tub. The room is very very veerrryyyy clinical, I wouldn't class it as a comfortable...

Perhaps the staff were focused on the hotel guests as our experience was poor to say the least. We called in at the Library as we walked down Beach Road. Not particularly busy the staff were excruciatingly slow and not attentive at all. The drinks (cocktails) were by far the most expensive we have had on the island.

This is a standout hotel and probably the best on koh Samui. Having visited six senses and four seasons i would choose the Library any day over them. The rooms are refreshing and modern with excellent wifi. The location is superb. On the beach but protected from the hordes. People watching sea swimming and sundowners all possible but also one...

I stayed at the library while I was in Koh samui. The disappointing part came when I came back to the library within 48 hours of leaving to enjoy the restaurant out front, with some friends. Upon leaving we walked through the hotel to the beach and I was informed rudely "that this would be my LAST TRIP through", by...

My husband & I are here in Samui holidaying. This is our third time staying at the Library. I love the whole package about this small boutiquey type of hotel. It's very unpretentious, love the setting, love the beach area, love the food, love the service. The pool is not too big, not too deep either but for me it's...

This is a very pretty hotel, wide open spaces, trees, sculpture and a great restaurant on the beach. The room design however is an achievement of a different calibre. The air-conditioner is high above the bed and blows loudly and strongly, sleeping will mean a strong cold breeze I am not kidding actual wind that cannot be avoided, the bed...

My wife and I spent a week at the Library Hotel and found it to be a wonderful place to stay. It is a small, quiet and beautiful resort that is located on an incredibly beautiful beach. It is a centrally located in Koh Samui, with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby, but the hotel grounds are so quiet and...

I've never stayed at the hotel but i make sure to come to the Drinks Gallery at least once every time I'm on the island. The attention to detail in the design is superb - the style second to none in these parts. The service is always impeccable, the food beautifully presented and very tasty and the cocktails are as...

Heard great things about this hotel and was very disappointed. Food was over priced and security asleep most of the time and when they were on the ball they would let anyone walk through the resort only to parade them back through the resort onto the beach. Embarrassing. Rooms big and trendy, comfortable bed but sorry Library I'll not be...

While I loved the cocktails I had here on the beach, walking around the property it seemed a bit too trendy and sterile for my taste. If you are really into modern and white, this is your spot. If you're not.... then you might be disappointed. With that said, sitting on the beach and drinking a cocktail full of lychees...

The Library is a stunning conceptual hotel built in a semi-minimalist architectural design, located at the heart of Chaweng Beach. Shaped by the hands of an island local who was inspired by books and a simple lifestyle philosophy, the property has now become an international icon of style and was recently recognized by Tripadvisor as the number one trendiest hotel in Thailand (2012).The Library offers its guests a total of 26 unique accommodations in the form of Exotic Suites located on the ground floor, Smart Studios on the upper levels, an ultra-luxurious unit called the Bookmark and an expansive 2-Bedroom Suite. Interspersed with age-old trees and various works of art, The Library and its surroundings boast a balance of nature and culture. Interiors bathed in a minimalist palette are completed with modern facilities. True to the belief that a perfect holiday equals an opportunity to enjoy one good novel, guests are invited to browse through the well-curated collection of books at The Lib, which gives The Library its distinctive name. An award-winning restaurant called The Page is also open for all-day dining, and the Drink Gallery whips up an artistic blend of good food, warm vibes and the island's most fantastic drinks. ... more   less
