Myself and four of my mates (all blokes) booked to stay at the Cabana Grand View for our 7 night stay in Samui but a few weeks before we were told that they closed it down so they would move us to their sister resort. ( The 4 star Chaweng Cabana Resort). What a joke! We arrived after 10 at...

We checked in to the cabana on the 31st of July for 4 nights. Our accomodation was arranged by the TAT along with the rest of our accomodation for the month that we were visiting thailand. The brochure we were shown displayed luxerious and well maintained beach front villas. On arrival we were greeted and shown to our room (room...

We spent 2 nights here, booking upon arrival. We got one of the basic rooms (there are nicer ones nearer the pool and beach front) which was okay and very spacious but not great.....bad lighting, dirty bathroom with broken toilet, broken door onto the balcony which wouldn't close properly and ripped sheets on the bed. The hotel has a small...

Stayed here for 6 nights in the new motel style rooms. They were big and clean and great value for money. Pool was clean and had a good few beds around it. We stayed here for the New Years Eve gala dinner which was a bit pricey but the food was great and the atmosphere on the beach at midnight...

We stayed in the Chaweng Cabana over the new year it was not the nicest of hotels. Rooms were ok but in need of some renovation, the pool was ok but constantly cold even when the sun did shine ( unseasonaly rainy while we were there) but in saying that the hotel was good for what we paid. My reason...

Small tidy bungalows. Relatively small resort, so quiet. South end of Chaweng out of confusion, 30 min on walk to Chaweng center. Prices may vary a lot if bought abroad. Very good if you get it for less than 40€/night/room with breakfast.

Since we were told that it was difficult to get a hotel when we arrived on Ko Samui, we booked two rooms through the official T.A.T office (at least they told us they were) in Bangkok, the one facing the Hualamphong train station. Although the rooms we booked were good value rooms, do not listen to people who tells you...

The hotel has a good location. However, there is very very little lighting in the rooms and the bathrooms are TERRIBLE. Each beroom only has one bedside lamp. I requested another one repeatedly so that we could get at least a little more light in the room but the hotel staff was very unhelpful. It appears that the bathrooms have...

“book yourself in for a night or two somewhere decent and then go walkies down Chaweng beach and look a the hotels before you choose one. Also, do you really need a pool? Most luxury hotels will let you use their pool and beach free! if you find one you want to be a regular at, buy a drink...you could save a fortune this way if you stay in a guest house where air conditioning actually works and have the best of both worlds!”
