Nestled on a picturesque beachfront, Chaba Cabana Beach Resort is a hit with travelers for its scenic views and pristine beach access. The rooms garner praise for their cleanliness and spaciousness, although some guests find the cleaning schedule and room layout inconvenient. Its diverse amenities, including rental options and an inviting yet modestly-sized pool, add to the charm.
Guests rave about the exceptional service, with staff described as friendly and attentive. While some suggest seeking dining options outside the resort for better value, the overall atmosphere is appreciated for its casual simplicity.

Detailed Reviews
This hotel promised so much but delivered so little. The location was great right on the beach, but after that it’s not so good. The pool area beds are very uncomfortable and extremely dated, and for those who do not worship the sun, shade a difficult to find especially in the afternoons. The rooms are nice, but the air conditioning is sporadic and with only having one key card, every time you re-enter the room, you have to start the cooling process all over again. This is false economy and makes spending time in the room oppressive with it taking so long to cool down. The breakfast is lacking in so many areas with slow service and apart from the weekend very little choice and bland food. Pool bar is decent, but over priced. If I was coming back to Koh Samui, I would choose a different hotel for sure.

This is a lovely hotel. Our first room was lovely with a fantastic view of the ocean and the pool, unfortunately we found the room noisy due to an old air conditioning unit so on the second day asked to be moved - yet another lovely room, very modern and again ocean view. The breakfast was nice, pool lovely and the gym was small but ok. Location wise it was right on the beach (although access to sand was tricky), it was about 20 min walk to night life but there are some restaurants and supermarket near by if you don't want to walk far, very close to airport but no noise from planes. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would recommend.

This is our second visit to Chaba Cabana and we were not disappointed. It has a stunning beachfront location with a brilliant pool area, with no shortage of sunbeds and umbrellas. The staff were always friendly and helpful from the cleaners, bar staff up to management. Special mention to Jam, Pa and the Assistant bar manager who always went the extra mile, thank you. The rooms have been modernised since our last visit and are bright, clean and very comfortable. The hotel is just a short walk away from numerous beach bars, especially Your Place (highly recommend) and restaurants or a quick taxi ride into Chaweng or Fisherman’s Village..

Arrived here for a week as the last part of a three week trip with my family.
The hotel is well placed for trips around there island being a ten minute taxi ride to the main town or there is a shuttle bus from the hotel at three times per day.
The hotel has one main pool with a children's pool attached.
Rooms are in a good state with some having a sea view, air conditioning, tea coffee making facilities.
Breakfast is a buffet style.
Although the photos show a sandy beach with loungers on there was no beach with loungers on although this could be to time of the year.
The swim up pool bar was not open although there is a bar close to the pool.
Rooms are not very quiet and you could hear the nightly noises from the room above and alongside.
There are two bottles of complimentary water per room per day when we asked could we have some more water we were told by the manager you have had your allocated water for the day and there is a shop in the town 15 minute walk away. I have travelled to Thailand for years and have never been told this bearing in mind we arrived at 4pm and asked for water the following day at 10am the room wasn't cleaned until the afternoon.
Breakfast was disappointing with little choice.
We found all staff to be miserable and rude with one male down by the pool grunting at everything you ask.
We were made to feel as if we were in the way.
The hotel is not child friendly.
To sum up I would not stay at this hotel again due to the attitude of the staff and more importantly the manager.

After reading a few negative reviews about the Chaba cabana Hotel I felt compelled to write them a review. We stayed there with friends from February 1st until February 16th and had a wonderful time. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, our rooms were spotless and comfortable, the maid doesn't clean your room unless a hanger is placed on the door daily, I did forget to put it on a couple of times! but it wasn't a big deal!.
We just had breakfast daily and there was quite a good selection, although the ham and sausage didn't look appealing there were lots of other dishes to choose from!. The girl on the egg counter was absolutely amazing, Omelettes, fried, poached and boiled eggs all cooked expertly! no mobile phones in sight as stated in another review!. The staff were so busy in the morning, I didn't see them have time to get a phone out!. The pool and surroundings were immaculate and clean!.
We ate lunch in the hotel a couple of times and the food was delicious but dearer then if you went just up the ramp and to the local restaurants!. Also a 2 minute walk up from the hotel you can catch the local transport into town and the markets. Had a couple of stormy days but when the sea was calm you could just walk down the steps onto the beach.
Lovely hotel, staff and location 👌 hope to visit again 😀

Our family (2 adults, 3 children (17, 16, 13) stayed here for 10 nights in August.
We had a fantastic time. We had two 'Deluxe Villas' (208 & 112). The welcome we received was great. The rooms were ready and spotlessly clean. Each day we had breakfast which was great. Everyone in our family found something they wanted to eat - there was choice of cereals, eggs, bacon, fruit, bread and pastries as well as salads and more local choices.
We spent lots of time in and around the pool which was great. It was incredibly hot but the shade and pool helped us mange this. The beach is stunning with shallow water which is great for walking in and spotting fish amongst some of the coral. The photos on the Chaba Cabana website show glimpses of the sea and it really is as good as it shows. We had food and drinks form the bar/restaurant - they were good value and high quality.
The staff are fantastic and extremely helpful and attentive but are not overbearing in any way.
The Chaba Cabana is a little way out of Chaweng (10-15 min walk) on the road or 10 minutes along Chaweng beach which was a great walk. We were delighted not to be staying in Chaweng centre as it's very busy with loads of bars and restaurants. The Chaba Cabana was the perfect distance away.
It is a great place to stay and whilst they'll be posher, more luxurious resorts we would not have changed our choice for the world.
We really loved the Chaba Cabana and were desperately sad to leave. We'd happily come again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet place in a great location with enough 'luxury' but not too much fuss.

This is by far not a 4 star hotel. Cleanliness is definitely not at the top of the agenda. Unless you put a sign on the door they do not clean the room up. In Thailand you cannot flush toilet roll down the toilet but have to put the ‘used’ toilet rolls in bins. They do not even empty the bin unless it states on the door! How unhygienic.
I had the same stained sheets on the bed from the day I got there even tho the sign on the door said make up room. I had to go and ask the manager to get the sheets changed after day 3! The bed had some kind of bed bugs or mites and I was bitten around my knees and ankles. I actually saw 3 of them on my bed one day and one on the remote control.
The weather was bad with storms coming in from the sea, which is not the hotels fault, but they left the black tarpaulin sheets up after the storms, the sea water was going in the pool, again not the hotels fault but one f the pools looked green, the pool looked grimey and in need of a good jet wash. Had to spend money going to other hotels / resorts to use their facilities.
There is no privacy as there are no voilles or nets and the balconies all look over each other so your opposite neighbour can see straight in your room if they are on the balcony.
The breakfast is very poor. The girls take forever at the egg counter. Too busy on their phones and one day after asking for poached eggs after making my toast they put the eggs and a load of water from the saucepan on the plate, making the toast soggy.
After a complaint to the holiday company , the manager offered a free meal but if breakfast was anything to go by we declined the offer. The pool area was tidied up a bit also but too little too late. The holiday rep at the hotel didn’t seem to care and she was the least bit helpful. She didn’t even tell me about my transfer, only the party that I was with, they transfers came early, again not communicated to the drivers about the correct time, then we felt rushed out of the hotel.
There is no luggage room to leave luggage, it’s left in a hallway full of bugs and mosquitoes. I would not recommend this hotel. I paid a lot of money to stay here and all i was offered was a free meal!

Chaba Cabana was so good! Great place to stay, staff were very welcoming and helpful, food was very good too. It was our wedding anniversary while we were here they gave us a delicious cake and decorated our room with flowers, it was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. Many thanks for all staff.

Where to start and finish is the hardest
Part of this review from start to finish it’s impossible to find fault with this complex I came as a solo traveler having lost my partner 18 months ago
I will try to do it under a few headings
1 area perfect at the upper end of Chewang town away from noise but 10 mins to it when you want it
The Beach 5 m how close can you get
2 cleanness again perfection rooms done to exceptional standard every day with complementary water
3
Food perfect the choice at breakfast was amazing cold hot I won’t go into it only it amazing . The staff at breakfast. We’re constantly vigilant of any ones needs and again you would have to look hard to get a speck of dust
4. The Staff again perfection the staff here all take immense pride in there work from reception to the lovely friendly lads who keep the place in such beautiful . Mr S and his wonderful staff should be very proud of themselves. If I could mention staff member who really shone brightly it has to be Jampan . You may ask what does he do ? Answer Jampan does everything and does it well . He seems to sense you need something and appears I could go on and on but seriously if you want something as near to perfect as possible this is the place
Chaba Cabana take a bow
Kind regards
Mike Ireland

Yes indeed there is everything there fabulous place to stay
Mine was a king bed (sleeps 2 adults + 1 toddler in my case) and they can add in a single bed upon request (with extra charge). Hope this is helpful.
Hi there, the villa we stayed had one double bed, there was just the two of us, but friends we met had children and they had an adjoining villa which they seemed happy with. As far as I know the villas all have adjoining villas, ours did. Hope that helps. cheers.
