A Very strange place. Rooms comfy (dated) with brand new (very good) bathroom, good views, dark and dingy reception, beautiful grounds, and an astonishing dining / bar complex decorated inn the most brilliantly retro bonkers fashion (like something out of Gormenghast ........ the whole complex overlooking a marshland area. Enjoyable but odd.

The place is very comfortable, has a good restaurant and a lot of areas to stroll and relax. Rooms are not too big but adequate. Breakfast buffet was good and offered a nice variety of food.... watching the sunset over the lakes and streams was a definite highlight ....

This is our second stay here. The first time for a couple of days and we always said we would come back, and we kept that promise to ourselves. The hotel is maybe more basic than your average city hotel with no air conditioning in the rooms and no bath but has a shower. Wifi in the room is hit and miss but very strong in Reception and breakfast room. There is also no tea making facilities in the room. Be warned though, in the summer, there are mosquitos everywhere, so be prepared and bring a good repellant and even fly killer or those plug in repellants for your room. You migbt even consider a long sleeve top and trousers if you are going out to explore as it will help keep those peskie mossies off you. We did however fall asleep to the chorus of frogs which was amazing. The adjoining restaurant is very good and is open til about 10pm, and you can sit inside or out. View is amazing. You can book local licenced guides to take you out into the marshes and forest to show you birds, plants and mammals. We have seen moose in the distance, and sat in a hide and watched a hoopoe feed its young. We also saw white tailed eagles and bee-eaters. Storks are plentiful but still amazing to see. Beavers are common but we havent managed to see one yet. We are planning our next visit to be during the winter so we have a better chance to spot wolves. A definite for nature lovers.

I stayed here as part of an organised group, which meant that our meals in the restaurant didn't explore the full menu, though what we had was more than acceptable. The restaurant decor is really OTT, but this adds to the charm of the place, though since it's been extended several times, the whole complex is a bit sprawling. Rooms are OK, but the advertised wifi doesn't work in them and in common with many Poland hotels, the rooms are not serviced, so it's up to you to request more towels, make the bed etc. Bed not particularly comfortable, so overall rooms a bit disappointing, but the location is magnificent, right on the edge of the marshes, with boardwalks and sitting out areas overlooking them. Looks as if there are excellent facilities for children too. Strongly recommended.

I cannot write that review without taking into consideration the right context and the fact is that we would probably never stay in that place if there were other good choices nearby. Unfortunately and it's a pity same time that, if you would like to visit Biebrzanski Park and you expect at least some "luxury" like food options included, then there are very little places around with such wonderful access to BBN treasures. bartolowizna has excellent location with spectacular view on Biebrza. This give me again impression that still there is a room for very good pensions in Podlasie especially for families with children, which can afford paying a little more to get some special treatment to relax after busy rambling day. This place requires a significant refurbishments. Probably time stopped there 20 years ago and unfortunately it maybe a problem of the owner, but entire place it's like chaotic museum of souvenirs from around the world without any good taste, but with the main theme that more means better. Service people are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok, but without any choices for children I.e. Pancakes, cereals etc. the place has huge potential, but need good manager, who would be able to convince owner to change that place radically. Rooms are ok, clean, spacious, with many helpful cabinets, nut again needs refresh including painting. Still difficult to find something much better (recommend Dobarz, Kuwasy, further Masuria Arte...) but better for owners to realize sooner than later that it's only question of time and good competition that they will lost their position unless it's just at the top of main biz and it will be low budget place.

This used to be a prime location few years ago and it was full of turist. I used to visit Goniądz every sumer back in the days and this was always a favourite spot to eat. It has changed this summer. I visited Goniądz for kajaking and the only place to eat wasretaurant in this hotel. Nothing changed since 10 years ago, the interiror decoration is still full of dust, stuffed animals, uncomfortable chairs, with a beautiful deck overlooking the river. Funny thing i that the deck is huge and the waiters for 3 days in a row said we should take the closer tables only, they were quite arrogant in my opinion. As a guest I can chose where I want to sit, but I was told not to sit next to the river. What a shame and misusage of this place! Foodwise this is nothing extraordinary, at the front door you can see that the restaurant participate sin a gluten free program, but don't get fooled! The certificate is outdated for a long time! It misleads the customers! For 3 days in a row to come and eat the menu was too heavy, nothing like a menue of the day, the owners do not bother at all to care about the guest a they know it is the only place to eat (not to mention kebab and some other hotel-yet-to-be cantine). We tried all the soups they had, main courses as well, especially if you are larger group and you visit this place twice a day the options run pretty fast. Not to mention that at 9:30pm sharp there is no option to get the food, and the place seriously closes at 10pm sharp. Food was quite expensive as the oup and main course for one person i around 50PLN the cheapest option. When it comes to the service, the waiters do not speak a word of English, which i quite odd as a big part of their customers are foreigners and you can get the English menu. Not entertaining and not too friendly, they seemed tired of life which is a shame. The worst is that they are not to interested in customers.... The only thing if you are in Goniądz you have no other option but stick to this restaurant, although we went to Grajewo to Społdzielcza restaurant to watch the semifinal of Euro2016 as this place was closed, worht 48km-trip, check them out. If you are tired of Goniadz you can visit Bialystok as well, or Tykocin by car.

Great location and a lot of facilities are making this place one of the best to stay in the surrounding of the National Park. However, the rooms look a bit odd. The apartment reminds a flat in the old block and apart of bathroom, it's not really tidy. But need to say, that it was huge, has a big terrace and all necessary equipment. It's worth to wake for breakfast, as they're serving a range of local products.

Located very close to the Biebrza National Park, the Bartlowizna Hotel and Relax Centre is the best place in the area to have a rest after interesting but exhausting hiking in the scenic marshes. Bird watchers and photo-amateurs can find clean, comfortable but affordable place to rest before next 'meeting' with buzzards, sandpipers or owls . It is also opened for beaver-watchers and moose enthusiast. Tasty breakfasts and very nice local restaurant offers very good lunches and dinners.

We came here for a family dinner on a late Saturday afteroon. The atmosphere is a little over the top, but very cool none-the-less. The food selection was large, all sorts of traditional polish cuisine, which was delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to walk around outside, but I understand that the area is beautiful. Will definitely go there for dinner again!
