We had an enjoyable night at the Hotel le Cerf in the family room. Great big bathtub, generous bathroom and plenty of room. Happy that the windows opened for a breeze (it was hot, hot that week). We sat outside on the back patio and drank a bottle of wine in the evening and had a nice breakfast in the...

We didn't have high hopes but pleasantly more comfortable than we expected. Steep stairs so pleased we were only on 1st floor. Nothing flash but all you need. Lovely bath and large room (23) short walk from train station and close to town restaurants, small supermarket and locaboat base. Owner happy to hold our bags after checkout. Pleased we arrived...

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel le Cerf for 3 nights before and after a boating holiday in the area. We made a very good choice. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the place was conveniently located for the town centre with its bars, restaurants and other facilities. We arrived at Briare...

We have just checked out of the hotel and were absolutely delighted with our stay. The hotel was perfectly adequate for our visit with comfortable well appointed rooms and a delicious breakfast. Other guests seem to include a fair amount of cyclists, a type of hotel clients who clearly know what the good places are to rest after a hard...

The hotel is very dark and dismal. The owner / receptionist is not very helpful. We had a room at the back it was large but plain and in need of refurbishment. Bikes were stored in a locked garage in an enclosed yard. Breakfast was unappetising. not recommended

Well, OK, the stairs are a bit steep, but this hotel wasn't built yesterday so put up with it!! We had a very pleasant stay in le Cerf - big advantage is the massive enclosed car park. Would definitely stay here again when we're down this way

My husband and I have made Hotel le Cerf our go-to place whenever we are in Briare. It is it is extremely well located, especially if one is arriving by train. The hotel is a short walk from the station; easy to do with suitcases. The staff are all very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast is 8.50 euros extra; OK if...

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the canal boat base and Briare. Friendly staff, clean and basic rooms perfectly adequate for what we required. The tariff €60 was good and the rooms we found quiet. As noted by other reviewers, no elevator so request a first floor room if that presents a problem. Breakfast was fine.

This hotel is situated in an interesting town which you can reach by foot without problems. The railway station is nearby. There is a closed parking behind the hotel. The room was quite alright and clean. The breakfast was OK. It seemed to be a good hotel to stay overnight when visiting this part of France.

Pleasant Logis aside the road not far from one of the attractive canals. Internal courtyard with ample enclosed and gated parking space. We had a good size room on the 1st floor of the courtyard annex. NO LIFT. Standard breakfast with unusually good coffee. No restaurant, but reception will recommend a reasonable place nearby. NOT TO MISS the PONT CANAL...
