We spent three nights in this very charming chateau which has been in the same family for over three hundred years. Marie France showed us to our room - a beautiful suite overlooking the River Loire and the terrace. So calm and peaceful. Wonderful antiques everywhere. A delightful sitting room for guests to use is available too. We went for...

We stayed only one night on our transit across France. Had we known of the intriguing history and delightful charm and elegance of this old country house we'd have stayed a little longer. The location is tranquil with beautiful views over the Loire. The host is friendly, welcoming and very helpful, providing a guided tour and history of the house...

Loved this B&B. My sister and I enjoyed staying here. The Chateau has been in Patrick's (the owner) family for over 250 years. It is located on the Loire River in a sleepy little town. Very comfortable and quiet. Patrick was a wonderful host. We told him we bought a bottle of sparkling wine and would like to enjoy it...

Chateau de Colliers. What a wonderful way to go back in time and pretend you live in a castle surrounded by beauty located right on the Loire River. The bedroom had a canopy bed, a huge modern bathroom, antiques armoires. The whole castle was beautifully appointed with rich antiques and family portraits. The breakfast, served in an ornate room with...

You'll step back in time on a visit here. Can't believe the antiquity surrounding every room in this fantastic home. Your hosts will soon be friends and you will have one of the quiestest and most comfortable nights in your journey as we did. Breakfast was wonderful. Wish we could have stayed longer. Visit chateaus by day and sleep in...

This "chateau" stay was to be the highlight of three weeks in France doing Burgundy and the Loire. Alas, it was an average B&B, not an elegant country inn, and certainly not worth the high price. The interior is dark and cluttered, and our room - albeit attractive - had a divided bathroom with doors 20 feet apart. The flowers...

We were on an eight week cycling holiday and this chateau stay was to be a treat after 5 weeks on the road and a treat it was. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Our bike clothes were washed and dried free of charge. We ate fantastic steak in the village for $10! and enjoyed wine on the bank of...

We stayed here for one night. I think the chateau is not very well taken care of, as it smells, and does not feel very clean. I think the chateau should be priced less, as it does not fit the expectations that you may have about staying in a nice chateau. The bed sheets and bathrooms are clean, but not...

The prospect of staying in a Chateau in the Loire is an enchanting one. Obviously any accommodation website is going to put up their best photos to entice guests, so perhaps we were conned. Unfortunately, Colliers could be something great, but it appears to be in more of a downward spiral due to lack of funds, increased maintenance costs and...

We stayed here for one night during a cycle tour of the Loire. I have to agree with recent reviewers that it is really in need of an overhaul. Plastic flowers and photocopied prints have no place in a venue that charges so much. The rooms are tired and the bathrooms are positively archaic. We arrived late and were told...
