After spending two days commuting from Hiroshima to Iwakuni - Just don't, my husband and I were thrilled to get into a room at the Kokusai Kanko. Our room was a Japanese style suite. The staff was very helpful through out our stay. The staff's english proficiency is moderate, but we were successful in communicating our needs regardless.

The hotel is resting on a perfect location for the area sight seeing and the Shin-Iwakuni train station.. We spent two nights in the hotel and a day around the Kintai Bridge and Castle.. On the other side of River from hotel there are many shops and historical places to visit. Recommend visiting this area.. Also, visit the hotels hot... More

This Japanese style hotel locates at a perfect place. It commands a magnificent view of the Kintai Bridge and Iwakuni castle. You can even enjoy it from the Onsen- hot spring. A night tour with the dinner box on a boat will be a wonderful moment. You need a reservation at a front desk. For Pokemon Go users, there are... More

Stayed here for business but was able to enjoy lots of beautiful sites right out the front door of the hotel! The hotel is right next to the famous Kintai Bridge and the old part of Iwakuni. There's a lovely park and Shinto shrine on the other side of the bridge, along with lots of restaurants and ice cream! The... More

What a beautiful place and such hospitable people! Did you know that you do not TIP in Japan the Japanese people see this as insulting. So, just be aware and enjoy their hospitality! Out of all my worldly trips Japan is hands down the best place I have traveled so far. I only hope one day my husband can join... More

We very surprised that this hotel was only rated 3 star. All I can conclude is that Japan has extremely high standards for most of its hotel. We were greeted outside the hotel entrance by enthusiastic, friendly and efficient smiling staff, and it just got better from there. The service here was superb. Checked in, we were escorted to our... More

The hotel is located near Kintai Bridge which is one of the beautiful bridge in Japan. All staff are very kind and friendly. The room is quite small as Japanese standard. But it's very comfortable. Hot water pot with tea and cold water are provided in the room. In the river view room, there is a small terrace for enjoy... More

This hotel has large, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The traditional Japanese breakfast was nice and complemented by fresh brewed coffee. We were disappointed not to have a front room with a river/bridge view, though. Probably because we booked through a discounter.

Can't beat the location or authentic Japanese quisine offered at this hotel. Room quality is not up to some high US standards but still very nice and clean. Service is everything you would expect and more. The friendly staff go out of their way to help you with several being English speaking. Rooms are very small, typical Japanese. Larger rooms... More
