We stayed 2 nights in this cosy, warm, well established guest house. The location could not be improved, as we simply rolled from the ferry terminal to the front door, and were cordially welcomed by our most accommodating hostess. The room was beautifully decorated, with en suite bathroom, kettle with a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. We felt... More

Travelling into Castlebay by ferry is a great experince in itself and a very short walk brings you to this well established guesthouse. Linda is a wonderful host who really knows how to welcome and care for her guests. Great room, great breakfasts and interesting fellow guests from all over the world. Not to be missed!

Had a lovely double room overlooking the sea, very clean, great breakfast & was nice not to have to choice the night before, lovely fresh fruit to start, Ferry just over the road & great place to eat there as well, who wants to stay in a hotel with great B&B just along the road.

Guest Houses like this are what make holiday's fun. Quite a spacious room, though the in-room shower cubicle is a bit tight for a bloater like myself. The bed was lovely and comfy, and of course the nights were utterly quiet, despite being on the main road" around the island. Breakfasts - excellent, and a chance to chat to some... More

When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was a fuchsia hedge that left me stunned becuse I had never seen fuchsias living outside so up North. The landlady was very friendly and welcoming, the room clean and warm and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast I had was very tasty and with plenty of choices. The B&B is at... More

Off the ferry from Oban, up the hill and your there! We had a warm welcome and were shown the guests lounge and dining room for breakfast. We really felt at home. We had a double room at the front overlooking the bay. Although small the room had everything we needed and was clean and comfy. The breakfasts were first... More

We stayed here in 1992. It was perfect. Having cycled round the islands it was a perfect finish. We have come back to Barra several times with the family. Now we are able to come back on our own, we are definitely going to stay here again. From the evidence of recent reviews, things have only got better. Please note... More

Linda's B&B was just what we were looking for - great view of Castlebay, cost room, great breakfast, great price, friendly and helpful host. We also stayed one night in the Craigard hotel down the road because Linda didn't have room for us on our third night, and we would recommend the Tigh na Mara hands down!

On a recent visit to this excellent guest house I had a lovely holiday. Friendly welcome, lovely rooms with an obvious care for the décor and amenities to care for the guest. . Excellent breakfasts ....what more could you ask for? If you are considering a hotel, consider this Guest House first.
