This hotel is pretty different to others, it has personality, the rooms are big and comfy, you can sit out of your room and enjoy the Baroque style of the hotel, also the food is better than expected and the price is realy inexpensive, the rooms are peacefull and the hotel is really close to the main square of the city you can go walking, just be careful with the streets closer to the hotel there are many bars, I recommend to take the main avenues.

We stayed here one night as part of a motorcycle trip. It was easy to find and quick check in. We parked the motorbike directly in front of hotel and no problems with that. Great room and beds for a one star hotel. I would comment though that breakfast was very basic with coffee, orange juice and toast - the toast being sliced white bread rather than 'proper' bread- I think if breakfast is included in the price more than that should be offered. Otherwise no issues.

My husband and I drove 6hrs from Barcelona and stayed here to explore Castillo de Zafra and the surrounding area! It was a wonderful visit. We were able to book the last room available for an extra night at the last minute. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet on the west side of the hotel. Street parking is available though you may have to drive around the block to park on the street above the hotel. The restaurant located at the ground level of the hotel serves wonderful pizzas all day long and has a full menu for dinner from 8:30-12:30pm The first night we stayed here the barkeep delivered our food to our room. His name was William and thankfully spoke English! I will stay here again should I ever find myself in this beautiful part is Spain again!

I came to this town to go hiking and visit the Castillo de Zafra (used as the Tower of Joy in Game of Thrones). The town itself is very nice for eating and strolling and even has it's own castle on a hill. The hotel is clean simple and comfortable. I really liked the family who ran it. They were so friendly to me, they even offered me a free ride to Hombrados village to start my hike the next day (Please note this may have been a one-off). When I got back late I could sit at the bar chatting with the hotelier, having a Gin and Tonic. We were both tired so we watched some TV together and he showed me some time-lapse videos made in the area. What I loved was how casual and familiar the hotel staff were without ever skimping on service. You just felt like you were visiting the home of a good friend who also happened to be a great host. If you're used to staying at the Ritz then this place is not for you, but if you're just a regular Joe looking for a nice budget hotel then you can't go wrong. I loved it and wished I could have stayed for longer.
