We drove past The Oakeley Arms today on our way to Caernarfon, but half a mile up the road we turned back. We had spotted a well kept hotel with lots of plant pots full of bright flowers (though it's mid November), welcoming lights and a Sunday Carvery sign. We were served our drinks immediately by the friendly staff, given...

Hi, thanks for taking the time to put up a lovely review. I too am amazed at how long the flowers have lasted this season. The conditions here are suiting them so it looks like the same willbe on order for next year:). Happy all round that you enjoyed your time here.Hope to see you here again soon.

You could not describe this hotel as either friendly or welcoming !! Can't imagine why the lady with black hair works with people at all as customers are clearly an inconvenience or maybe it's the language difference she doesn't like. Place is overpriced noisy on a Friday & Saturday night. They couldn't be bothered to attend to my room after...

Has to be the worst offering of beer, food and service we found in Snowdonia. The staff look young with one manageress. A long interval between the order and receiving food to get something we did not order. The interior needs a refurbishment and a clean. As for the unique beer made for the pub my advice would be to...

We had lunch here recently, we found it to be a very comfortable restaurant to eat. The owner served us and she was very helpful and gave us lots of information on the hotel. Our meals arrived quickly, good portions and were delicious. Full marks.

Whilst staying nearby for the weekend, we ate here on Friday evening. The staff were all very friendly (even found us a pack of cards) it was quite quiet. We ordered a fish platter to share, and a lamb main.both were delicious and the salmon was smoked on site we were told. Great menu, would return

Stopped in for a spot of lunch before we started our long car journey...brilliant! Generous portions, delicious food, great staff. We wasn't sure at first if The Oakley Arms served food, we were glad we stopped and asked. Perhaps advertise more on the outside because the food is worth shouting about.

We stayed here for a weekend break after being impressed with the excellent food on offer in the restaurant. The room was lovely and comfortable. The building is a typical Welsh stone affair so isn't quite as watertight as a new build : ) but it has a lot of character and the staff are very friendly and hard working....

Unfortunately the cottages we stayed in were disappointing for the price paid £189. The finish was shoddy and oven was filthy . Such an irony as the web site promises so much , when we asked about the featured children's play area we had mixed reviews from the staff one stated they had never seen it another said the existing...

I booked two rooms here, and felt more than embarrassed at having to apologise for doing this - which I did, several times over the weekend. I cannot envisage circumstances in which I would stay here again. There were thoughtful touches: a bottle of water in the room, a range of teas, a good amount of space. The paid staff...

I booked this hotel in April for 2 nights - a Friday and a Saturday night. The staff were polite and made sure we knew where everything was and checked we had what we needed. We were asked to leave our keys when we left on the Saturday morning and were told that if we were arriving back later than...
