Stayed here on a walking weekend , easy to access on arrival great car park , kitchen is equipped with just about everything you need plenty of showers nice and clean Only one small negative is there is no dining area , but another plus is there is a cinema I met one member of staff. Erran I think her name was , very friendly and helpful
I cannot say enough good things about this place! Nia and Rhys are absolutely amazing! The place is clean, Nia—you are incredible and basically like family, now!! I have never had a better experience in a hostel. Thank you for making this journey magical. Truly. Merry Christmas, you all! ❤️
Needing a cheap place to stay in the area, booked into Cellb in Blaenau Ffestiniog, just off the high street as it fitted the bill at £20 per person per night. Its a nice warm well decorated hostel with lots of free parking behind. Nia e-mailed instructions on how to find the key early in the day - though could do with some lighting behind the hostel. Room was small, but only designed for 3 beds and i had it to myself being out of season in November. Beds, chair and a table. Kitchen area was sufficient, but given the takeaway in town, i only used it briefly. Clean & tidy toilets. Only issue was the noise from the bar above on the Friday night, with people in the room above and walking up / down the stairs whilst drunk - really could do with better sound proofing as i couldn't get to sleep till after the bar closed. Given that its all CellB, you'd of thought it would have been sorted. Apart from the sleepless night, a nice little hostel, with friendly staff and fellow guests.…
Great value for money in a quiet part of the town but close to Main Street. Hostel is warm and dry - phenomenal value too. Nia sent a nice note by email to welcome us and make sure we know the arrival details. Cellb did the job well on a very wet Thursday night.
I stayed here for 3 days with my 8 year old son as we were doing the cave tours in the local area and visiting the slate mines. The bedrooms are comfy and cosy and the communal kitchen has good facilities. There is a pub just around the corner that serves great food and a takeaway kebab shop down the road that does good pizzas and burgers. It's in a great central location and has a lounge space to use upstairs which is great to chill out and relax after a long day of walking! my son loved stretching out up here and playing while I had a snooze on the sofa! It's a shame we could not fit in the cinema while we were there and the cafe and bar was closed but we look forward to coming back another time to visit. Many thanks for a great stay.
