First visit to Heather Lodge...it came highly recommended and did NOT disappoint. The first course was 4 choices of juice and coffee served along with a fresh fruit plate (6-7 fruits) and yogurt dip accompanied with choice of 3 fresh Danish. That would have been enough...but then to the main course. Both my Mom and I had the Eggs Florentine...

I had a very short stay here on an overnight business trip nearby. I found this lodge by pure chance -and I'm so glad that I did. Everything was perfect - from the friendly staff, to the lovely waterfront location, the comfortable room, the many amenities (that I sadly didn't have time to use) to the DELICIOUS dinner and breakfast....

Stayed here during Easter long weekend...Heather Lodge is beautiful and the rooms are very clean. Maria and James are the nicest hosts and I miss the meals there already! Great lake views, hot tub/sauna and lots of hiking activities nearby.

My wife and I decided to try dining Heather Lodge for a second time after a poor experience last summer. In summary we were glad we did. The service was much better and the food was excellent. The portions were more generous, might be related to off-season as they aren't as busy. There were a number of other couples there...

Heather Lodge is a fantastic and romantic inn. We had originally booked our stay in February, however at the last minute the weather forced our dog sledding tour in the area to be cancelled. Heather Lodge was very accommodating in rebooking our stay on very short notice. The staff were very helpful, the rooms were nice and cozy, the beds...

My fiance and I stayed at the Heather Lodge for a weekend in February. It was our first time there and we had such a wonderful time. Right from the start, Chef James made us feel at home. We enjoyed being able to privatize the jacuzzi. We had a beautiful cozy room with en open fire and a balcony with...

Maria, James and staff has made it difficult for us travelling forward. They met and exceeded every expectation of ours. We spent six nights here on the snowmobile trip from British Columbia. The room was beautifully appointed, the food top-notch and the inn cosy, quaint and professional. We felt the price was more than reasonable for all we received. We...

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our three-night visit. Chef James' dinners and breakfasts were incredible both in taste and presentation and his wife, Maria, was a very warm and welcoming host. Our server, Mennie, was professional but also offered some delightful casual conversation between servings. Our room was clean, spacious, and cozy and the grounds were beautiful and peaceful....

This has to be the most picturesque place we have ever stayed. It is a husband/wife operated lodge and this made the atmosphere more comfortable. Our family went there for a mini family vacation and because we went in November, were fortunate to obtain two of the nicest rooms - both with a fireplace and a view of the lake....

This rating is strictly about the restaurants inability to handle a relatively small group of 24 for dinner. Especially when the restaurant was provided the groups menu choices a week in advance. Group arrivals from 5:30 to 6:30 for cocktails. Dinner scheduled for 6:30. Rolls served at 8:05, apps and mains served 8:25 to 8:45. Last person served after 80%...
