My wife and I recently stayed for 25 nights in this beautifully maintained hotel. Rooms were well maintained, the staff were attentive to detail and the management warm and welcoming. An excellent breakfast each morning with a variety of options that changed daily. Best views in Pathein from the 8th floor dining room.Management provided a safe for our room which was greatly appreciated.
Very friendly personnel allowed us to have breakfast even though we were an hour late and helped us with booking bus tickets. Swimming pool on the roof is awesome. We had a late check-in at 3 am and receptionist was there for us.
Four of us have just spent two weeks staying in this lovely hotel, while teaching English locally. The manager and his wife could not have done more to make our stay comfortable, including kindly hosting Burma Storybook, Petr Lom's film about dissident poet the late Maung Aung Pwint, for us. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, better than many of the local restaurants. But the pool was the real draw for us each morning and evening, before and after a hard day's work. Thank you, Shekinah. We will be back for sure!
On my second visit to Pathein I stayed at Shekinah again and I am glad I did. It was as good as the first time, even with a few extra touches like a more efficient set-up for breakfast and a wider selection of fresh fruits. The food was a nice surprise again, from beginning to end, and my room very spacious and comfortable and of course the pool was divine. Staff again very service-minded.
It was a pleasure staying there. It's such an amazing place and what I really love this hotel is their swimming pool which is awesome. The room and their facilities are also great. The breakfast is ok and their staffs are friendly. There was a rooftop on the 8th floor. The only inconvenient thing is that their wifi really sucks, but it was not a big deal.
