Booked my stay at Global Surf House Kabalana, the lodge is closed and this is my experience... Dirty room!!! Toothpaste and nails from previous hotel guests in the sink, stains in the bed, dirty remote control and fridge. After reporting, the room was "cleaned" again but I had to clean the sink myself after because it was still dirty. Nothing was offered to compensate me. Dinner in the evening is way too pricey for what you get: a lukewarm buffet. The owners/ staff are Israeli and there were, except for 2 girls, only Israelis staying there and talking Hebrew to each other all day. I had 2 chairs in front of my room that the other guests sat in all the time. This felt like an invasion of my privacy, caused a lot of noise and nothing was done about it even after I commented on it to the manager. I felt like an outsider. Paid €94 per night but it was not worth it!!! Global Surf's website says they have wellness and yoga but it turned out they don't. There is no shala and no yoga classes. This was told to me at check-in right away. What a setback!!! At check out no help at all with luggage. The man stood there and watched me drag my backpack and stuff to a tuktuk. The lodge is closed! So check the photos of the Global Surf HOUSE before booking.…
Everything perfect : - cleanliness and attention paid to details in the preparation of the room and overall resort - friendliness, communication and presence of the staff - pool and chill zone area well arranged for a quiet time, off the noisy road - wifi working pretty well at all times when we were there Can't think of anything bad to say or to improve. Considering the three other places we stayed at in the midigama area, Lime is far beyond in terms of quality and pricing. Thanks guys for the good times
Very friendly and chill atmosphere, you can feel the flow of good vibes as soon as you enter the resort. It's located right opposite of the ocean, very easy to locate. Even though the breakfast is amazing with the huge portions, I must say lunch and dinner menu is a little bit limited and there is not much of a choice when it comes to local food. However, the staff is very friendly, giving great tips and informations, assisting you anytime of the day. There is a big lounge area with the pool, lazy bags and a tv. You can rent surf boards and do some yoga as well. The room was nice, the bathroom even better! It's outdoors, beautifully decorated, incredibly good! We extended 2 more nights since we enjoyed it a lot.
Made a booking based on reviews. When we checked in we were really happy with what we saw - great decor, very clean & menu looked good......but.....& this is a big BUT.....water kept going off. We were told water shortages were widespread. We were unable to take a shower or brush our teeth when we wanted.....even nervous to use the washroom in case the flush didn’t work! This put a real damper on our trip. Won’t be coming back here.
Highly recommended good location and price beautiful rooms. Professional surfing guidens and loving helpful staff. Excellent for beginners and more expiransed surfers. You get also extra help in transport recommendations at the area for food and traveling - a full package so you can enjoy your holiday :)
