Many thanks go the manager, (Iain I think), & his staff. We visited on Wednesday 10th and booked a room for our o/night stay on Sat. the 13th as we were coming from E.Kilbride, & going to a friends birthday party in Houston. The room was perfect for our needs, & very clean. On the days we visited, we were lucky enough to have some time for a few drinks in the bar, and the hospitality & friendliness shown to us by staff & a couple of the regulars was excellent. We would have no hesitation, if the need ever arose again, in booking a room here. Safe to say, if we're ever in the area, we'd definitely pop in for a pint. 👍👍👍
A pleasant stay rooms very clean pleasant host who couldn't do enough for you nice cosy bar will definitely be back Bridge of Weir is handy for the Clyde coast and the Airport good car parking also handy for the Erskine Bridge and onto Loch Lomond
This INN was amazing from the moment I walked in. as a single pregnant female traveling alone it is scary but the staff here were so helpful friendly and welcoming the room was everything I needed the bed was so cosy and even though the pub had a busy weekend I could settle peacefully on an evening .. the food served within the pub was very nice( I recommend the steak pie) I would like the thank Iain and the team for making my visit so relaxed and enjoyable. Will definitely be visiting again soon!
Three of us popped in for a meal at 5.00 p.m. after a round of golf in Bridge of Weir. One order for fish'n'chips, two for "Gryffe Burger"'n'chips. Waiter came back to inform us "no fish" so now three for burger'n'chips. Burgers arrived on a plate with chips in a wire basket thingy ... presentation OK but time of arrival was 45 -50 minutes after ordering. Burgers were almost raw .... burgers sent back but chips remained on the table. We had eaten the chips by the time the burgers arrived (only 10 minutes later). Despite a promise of fresh burgers we received the original burgers .... still not properly cooked. Paid the bill and left hungry i.e. didn't eat the burgers for fear of rummy tummy. The pub is a wee bit dowdy but the bar staff were doing a good job .... sadly, not so the chef. Lots of locals in for a beer but the standard of food must improve or it'll just be a village watering hole and not much more. Won't be back. …
My mother, father and brother stayed for three nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely welcoming and made their stay very enjoyable. They just loved the plentiful well priced breakfast - beautifully cooked. They have said that they most definitely will return.
