We stayed for 3 nights toward the end of the season having flown into Glasgow. We had some problems with the hire car and arrived late however Steve and Ilse are the perfect hosts and nothing seemed too much trouble. The house is situated on the banks of Lock Etive with stunning views of the mountains and a wealth of...

Friendly, helpful and informative hosts and a good breakfast made this a beautiful stay. Their whiskey-flambed haggis was very tasty. We had a room in the old part of the house, which was quite good for us because it was quiet (the room wasn’t facing the busy street outside). There are good windows in the house anyway so most of...

We stayed for two nights and enjoyed a comfortable stay. The room was spacious with a lovely room of the bay, and a lounge positioned in the window overlooking the bay, which was cosy viewing while the weather was wet and windy outside. Steve was generous in offering suggestions for dinner. The only negative for us was the lack of...

Steve is a great host and made us feel very welcome. Our bedrooms looked out across the water and were really comfortable. The breakfast was great...kippers if you wanted them, haggis, smoked salmon and great porridge, as well as the more traditional fayre. The whole place was immaculate and we loved the cosy sitting room and all the little touches...

Our favorite feature of this B&B was the cozy great room. It RAINED for our entire stay, so we ensconced ourselves in the cushy leather armchairs near the wood stove with our books for a couple of afternoons. My husband and I stayed in the Garden Double room at the back of the house, which was nice, but not luxurious....

We stayed here for two nights and we can only repeat the fabulous reviews below. The room was wonderful with amazing views. The breakfast was great - don't miss the kipper! We only wish we had booked here for longer! If we are ever back in the area there is no doubt where we will be staying. Thank you!

Visited during our brief tour of Scotland. Steve is an exceptional host, offering a friendly warm welcome, great local knowledge and traditional Scottish cuisine for breakfast, i.e. Porridge in Scottish Whisky and Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs. In terms of our room, it was a front facing loch room. Fast WiFi, flat screen TV and beautiful views. The bathroom however...

We really liked this place. It sits beside the main road on the south side of Connel. Plenty of parking. We were greeted warmly and helped in with our luggage. Due to late booking we had Room 6 at the back, so we didn't have the glorious views but it was very quiet at the back and the room was...

This B&B is a cut above, it's the extras that Steve and his team does that makes this place extra special. The location is magnificent across from the loch with onsite parking, a really cool pub/restaurant just a stroll down the road and views to sit and gaze at. Our room was at the front of the home with extensive...

Back for our third stop in a year and every time has been excellent. Lovely clean rooms with en-suite and great breakfasts. All at a reasonable price. Owners always welcoming. Great location just north of Oban and nearby Oyster Inn is great for dinner/drinks.
