We stayed at the Oyster Inn as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) and had a fantastic stay. We had a large room to accommodate all of us which was very spacious and comfortable for our stay. The room was spotlessly clean as was the Oyster Inn throughout. The staff made us feel exceptionally welcome especially our two boys who loved their stay here. We had dinner one night in the Restaurant which we highly recommend as the food was delicious. The outdoor seating area looks over Loch Etive and on both nights we had a spectacular sunset. The Oyster Inn is a short drive from Oban approx 10min by car and sits in the most beautiful location in Connel looking onto Connel Bridge and Loch Etive. We will be returning here again to stay on our next visit to Oban!

Only a one night stop, but we will come back. The covid situation was well dealt with. The room spacious and clean. The bed comfortable, the lounge supplied beautiful views toward Connel Bridge and over the Loch. The staff couldn't do enough to make us welcome, and breakfast was varied and good with a view to match

We had been looking forward to our weekend away very much and the Oyster Inn fulfilled all our hopes. My husband and I had lots of outdoor gear with us for our weekend adventures, as well as our energetic dog - we had plenty of space in our kingsize room for all our stuff and for the dog without feeling remotely squished. The bed was super comfortable and the bath perfect for a long soak after a day in the hills. The food lived up to the excellent reviews, special thanks to the chef for going the extra mile for us on the Saturday evening. The Cullen Skink and slow cooked beef cheek were absolutely delicious! Very grateful to the barman for being so helpful and friendly too. Highly recommend the Oyster Inn for a break in a fabulous location for kayaking and hillwalking. And all very compliant with Covid-19 restrictions.

We were staying not far from the Oyster Inn on our holiday and this is the first pub we’ve been to for food since lockdown - I was a little anxious about eating out but needn’t have worried because the staff at the Oyster Inn made us feel so comfortable and welcome. The food was perfect, we had the salmon fillet and fish pie and it was delicious. The Glue Pot bar is super cosy and we wished we could have stayed beyond 8pm but those are the rules everywhere at the moment obviously. We loved the food so much that we ordered a takeaway on two other occasions during our week in Connell! We’ll definitely be back, thank you very much!

Really enjoyed my first time here when we popped in for Sunday lunch. Excellent service and the food was delicious. Our waitress, Hannah, was very friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome. I had the beef, which was cooked perfectly. My friend had the fish pie. Not my favourite but he really enjoyed it. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed the friendly staff and excellent food and ambience. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
