We recently spent a weekend at the chateau, together with our border collie, and with a couple of exceptions we all had a superb stay. As already described by previous reviewers, the location of the chateau is perfect for either chilling out, or visiting the various attractions and towns in the Gaillac area, including the Chateau de Mauriac, which is...

Having been so looking forward to a much needed night away...sadly Chateau De Salettes has not met our expectations. ... We booked a Gourmet Package for €350 inclusive of breakfast and the Toulouse Lautrec menu. Not inexpensive! We knew the chateau had a very modern interior. This is fine although decidedly clinical. Tiny jacuzzi bath and no shower which was...

This chateau was renovated approximately 15 years ago. The outside is typical of the area- stone but very modern and minimalist inside. The grounds are great with wonderful views of the surrounding vineyards and fields. Outdoor pool overlooking the countryside. The rooms are tastefully decorated. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The dining room is very attractive and you can...

The Gaillac region is charming wine country. It's an area of France that's good for the casual hiker, the casual wine drinker and anyone who wants the absolute opposite of a city break. Chateau de Salettes is quiet, out of the way and unpretentiously luxurious. Big cool rooms, a semi-wild garden with views over the vineyards, and a pool area...

My girlfriend and I stayed for Saturday evening and had a lovely stay. The restaurant served a magnificent meal. It is not cheap, but I have never eaten such amazing food. Truly wonderful service too. BRAVO!

Very good and attentive service. Room #16 feels large and modern, and is near the top of the stairs in an almost medieval tower. The view is very nice, although since it is set in an embrasure, the window is quite small and set relatively high in the wall. The double bed is huge, and has the biggest double duvet...

Among the Gaillac vineyard, you will be charmed by the contemporary restoration of a 13th and 15th centuries built castle. It was once the home of the youngest branch of the Toulouse-Lautrec family and later the Hautpoul family. The ancient architecture and the modern decor mix harmoniously to a surprising effect on this idyllic rural setting. The castle still produces...

Great location in the middle of vineyards. Converted Chateau with modern rooms, this time our room was on the ground floor and was rather dark and the only window/door opened out onto the garden where other guest were walking etc. The bathroom was modern however there was not a shower screen with only a hand shower on the bath. We...

We were very fortunate to have won a night with supper at this lovely Chateau. The room we had was the basic one on the ground floor with views of the garden. Though the cheapest of them all it was a lovely room, more Heals than Ikea! The bathroom was wonderful, very large, very nice toiletries but best of all...

Although more than I usually spend on hotels, Chateau de Salettes was well worth the treat. We had a very commodious suite with beautiful views of the countryside and nearby vineyards. We awoke to roosters! The room was spotless and well apportioned; I found the beds to be very comfortable, the bathroom a great treat (jets in bathtub!), and the...
