Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A non chain French hotel with on site restaurant. Room was very clean, a little small but very comfortable. No lift but wide stairs. Off road parking but to our delight the owner offered us a garage as we were in an ancient open car ... ‘‘tis was unexpected and much appreciated. Restaurant was excellent. Easy to find though not central to Cognac if that is what you are seeking. We would certainly visit again

The rooms were of standard size, - small. Very good airconditioning in the rooms. Very friendly staff. We had dinner in the restaurant, but that was a real disappointment. Nice little backyard where you could enjoy a cold beer from the reception.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and booked it because the info said it was in Cognac however it was about a mile out of Cognac along a somewhat unprepossessing road. However the hotel itself was pleasant with very friendly staff and the room was clean and the bed comfortable the bathroom adequate and the noise insulation good. The restaurant however was a disappointment as the hotel primarily caters for business travellers on Soiree Etape and in consequence the restaurant menu was somewhat limited although very reasonably priced and there was no alternative locally. The breakfast was however very good with an extensive selection of cold meats cheese breads and viennoiserie and jams and yoghurts although it was all help yourself even down to the coffee machine .We were however made extremely welcome and there is a very good selection of reasonably priced brandies at the bar.Woild I stay again? Yes but probably only on a one night stay

Despite ongoing roadworks straight outside the hotel doors, we enjoyed a peaceful stay here thanks to efficient quiet air con and excellent double glazing ! Our twin room was small but clean and adequate ( with tea/coffee making facilities ) with a spacious ensuite bath / shower room and very hot water. Breakfast was comprehensive and good value, although we did enjoy the sight of various guests attempting to open the small fridge containing cold meats, cheese and yoghurts. Very welcoming staff, good english spoken by one person, and a small above ground plunge pool available. Limited unsecured car parking adjacent. Unfortunately the restaurant and bar were closed during our stay, which meant a 5 minute drive into central Cognac.

We stayed here for one night while driving through France. The hotel is on the outskirts of Cognac and wasn't easy to find even with a sat nav. It's a slightly odd place - you get in by putting a code into a door; there's a swimming pool but no real seating; and the restaurant and bar open and close unpredictably. The staff seemed pretty disinterested in the concept of running a hotel. But the rooms were lovely and comfortable. Essentially there's nothing wrong with the hotel, but it has little to recommend it. If I went to cognac again I'd stay closer to the centre.

We stayed in the hotel with my sister and her husband. The Roma were pleasant and clean. The proprietors were very helpfully and the breakfast adequate. It was close to the centre of Cognac but in a quieter area. We would certainly stay there again.
