Truly traditional Provençal style and food. The wine they make here is amazingly unique, tastes so different than the other white or rose wines of the area. It's really worth the visit or stay here. The domaine is very relaxing, ideal for walks. History embraces you here

We spent a week-end at the Chateau de Berne and everything was perfect. We had stayed there a couple of times before (before the SPA was extended) and already had a great time. The SPA is indeed very nice with an indoor pool, 2 jacuzzis, a steambath and a sauna. We had dinner at the restaurant and this was a... More

We had lunch in the gastronomic restaurant again recently and it just gets better and better. This time we were indoors, in the very elegant and tastefully furnished conservatory. The serving staff, from Wales, USA, France and Thailand, were superb. The food was delicious and the wine excellent. All at a reasonable price considering the quality of the food and... More

Arrived for a weekend stay, booked a room with a balcony. Not available due to a wedding on the premises we were told. Asked for a rate reduction, however there would be none according to receptionist. We then requested to speak with the Manager and miracously enough we got a new room, with a very nice balcony. Very noicy in... More

Access to the property is via a very long, single track, , partly made up road, approx. 5km, through forested country side. The Chateau is not large, quite modest, with modern buildings attached. The furnishings are "nice" but not special. The restaurant is a big disappointment. Food quality average, table dressings cheap, table service dreadful. Restaurant manageress, nice person but... Arriving on a wet October night we were given a welcome drink and shown to our beautifully warm and cosy room before fireside drinks in the bar and a gourmet dinner - cooking is very sophisticated and the wines from the chateau excellent. Breakfast is first class with eggs cooked to order : there are countless things to do including... More

It is some time since I last stayed at the Chateau de Berne and during the intervening period the hotel has undergone extensive renovations, which have certainly improved the hotel, its facilities and its appeal. The restaurant was over the top, expensive and the food didn't live up to the presentation. That said it is a little difficult to go... More

Fabulous hotel in the forrest surrounded by wineyards. The first night we got one of the rooms prepared for disabled with a bathroom that we didn't like.
