My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and 5 days. We had a fabulous time. This hotel was in Rothbury where we find it calm and serene. It was in a very pleasant village. Away from the hustle and bustle. Our room was pleasant. Excellent food in the restaurant. Great breakfast too. The staff was very...

Spent 4 days here in April. Great location for touring Northumberland with N.T properties nearby and Holy Island a short drive away. Good value hotel, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast and friendly ,helpful staff. We even had entertainment on one evening.

We had originally hoped to stay here on the basis of reviews and the place is dog-friendly. But because the hotel was fully booked, we stayed locally but booked a meal and were not disappointed. having the pooch with us, we were invited to eat in the bar, a table was quickly laid and we were regularly visited by the...

Had seen some mixed reviews but got a good last minute deal so took a chance.Ended up in the bridal suite. Fabulous views, massive room with huge bathroom and rolltop bath. Staff really friendly and helpful, nothing a problem especially the young barstaff on our first evening who gave us loads of tips about the area. Breakfast was lovely with...

We stayed for 1 night en route to Lindisfarne. Lovely clean rooms. The staff were very friendly - nothing was too much trouble..The restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced. The decor and ambience were all just right. I would recommend this hotel.

After reading reviews I was initially reserved about my daughter booking her wedding here however," it is her choice", I thought. Then she told me it had been took over and we went to the venue to meet Alison. Instantly I changed my view. Alison is very professional and is very attentive whilst offering advice. The staff make this venue...

When we first arrived, we encountered a man on his way out, carrying what appeared to be luggage, so we assumed that he was a guest at the hotel. After we had stood in what we thought was reception for a couple of minutes, wondering how to check in, we spotted the sign that directed us to the first floor...

On arrival, my sister and I encountered a very rude man whom I presume was the manager - certainly, he was bustling about officiously, yet would not actually help us to check in. There is inadequate signage on entry, meaning guests have to find their way to a mausoleum-like landing to locate the direction to 'bedrooms'. There is no Reception;...

Hotel is situated minutes from the village centre. It does have a lot of steps. Our room was on the top floor with lovely views of the valley. Large bed but a bit hard for us. Large ensuite and seating area. The bar and resturant are lovely with beautiful decor. We ate in the hotel on the first night and...

I stayed here as part of a business trip. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I had a clean, modern, newly refurbished room and enjoyed a good nights sleep. Breakfast was hearty and if I were in the area again I would definitely return.
