Standing proudly against the backdrop of the majestic cliffs that give their name to the tranquil resort village of Los Gigantes ("The Giants"), the Royal Sun Resort is set on one of the cliffs' highest points, with unsurpassed views of the village, the charming marina, and the sea beyond. Quality is the hallmark of every aspect of the Royal Sun Resort, from the tasteful, designer-furnished apartments and the choice of on-site restaurants, to the level of the service offered by the friendly staff. Two swimming pools, one for children and one for adults, are set in the middle of the complex, with a sparkling waterfall flowing from one to the other and superb panoramic views from their surrounding sunbathing terraces. Next to the swimming pools is the pool bar "Oasis Abraxas", supplying the perfect refreshments to keep you cool whilst sunbathing. From elegant dining in "Aqua" restaurant, managed by Lucas Maes, one of the prestigious Canarian chefs, to thematic buffets in the sophisticated "Regency" restaurant with its splendid views, the range of restaurants within the complex serves every taste. For evening entertainment, try the impressive "Imperial" bar and lounge, complete with an entertainment area where regular shows take place. If you like a bit of activity, the modern gym and the aerobics room should keep you busy. One hundred and twenty apartments are spread over six floors, linked by corridors and lifts. There are studios, one-bedroom, two-bedrooms and three-bedrooms apartments, all spacious and comfortable with designer furnishings including air conditioning in lounge areas, satellite flat screen TV, direct dial telephone, free wifi, and a complete kitchen. The bathrooms have a walk in shower, or semi-circular bath and a window that looks out on to a mini cactus garden. Bedrooms have a double bed and doors opening onto a large private balcony or terrace, furnished with sun beds, a table, and chairs.

I came here for two weeks for Christmas and decided to stay for two months. The hotel is at the top of the rather charming town of Los Gigantes with fabulous views over the magnificent cliffs and the island of La Gomera (even La Palma on a clear day) which has brilliant whale and dolphin watching trips. The one bed deluxe apartment is superb with an enormous sun terrace and is tastefully furnished with high end electrical products and a useful washing machine. Mood lighting is a nice touch. The outdoor pool is a decent size and again shares the wonderful views over the sea. I have half board and am currently enjoying excellent dinners in the Aqua restaurant with a renowned Canarian chef. Little things need attention from time to time but the staff are very kind hearted and always find a solution to any issue even organising a doctor to come and see for an infection. I highly recommend staying here. The weather is much better than the north of the island and the town is much more charming than the big resorts in the South. Come!

Fantastic stay for 12 days over Christmas time!! Huge balcony, spacious accommodation, fantastic half board food, heated pool and warm welcome!!! Definitely will be back !!! Request to management : please sort out your WiFi internet, it is so slow and unreliable. On our next visit we can’t use UK data as standard anymore, so we need to get fast and reliable WiFi. We are in 21st century, and it is the MUST for any hotel, especially the best hotel in Los Gigantes .

Last minute get away with Tui. This hotel is fabulous - amazing views and the biggest balcony you could wish for! Stayed in both the premier and standard rooms, both were excellent. Premier a little more luxurious with all mod cons and the bonus of a washing machine. The views are to die for. The staff are AMAZING, Wendy and her make colleague ( glasses on) sorry forgot his name! On reception couldn’t do enough, breakfast room dining staff and Chefs were happy polite courteous. Breakfast was good and plentiful including freshly squeezed OJ and an early morning tipple, of Fizz, if your that way inclined🍾🥐 100% COVID Compliant. The cleaning TEAM should be commended always someone mopping, polishing glass and sweeping. Shout out to maintenance who brought us a SMART TV so hubby could watch footy!! The hotel is spotless. Spent 10 Days chilling on the Balcony, if R&R is what you need then book now, you won’t be disappointed🥳

Considering the difficulties during the recent pandemic, we couldn’t fault the service at The Royal Sun. from the cleaning staff, waiting staff and receptionists, absolutely faultless. Thank you. We have been visiting the resort for 29 years. Very little changes, but that’s why we love it. Richardson’s is my particular favourite bar. Great atmosphere. Cheers Gary.

We stayed at a 2-bedroom luxury apartment for a week as a family of 4. Our room was spacious with a hot tub on the balcony. The view was spectacular and extremely relaxing. Breakfast had a good amount of choices and Covid safe. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The swimming pool was a good size and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel for families.
