The Royal Sun Resort is situated at the end of probably the highest road in Los Gigantes. The approach along the road is very poor for most of its length with building sites under construction or waiting to begin and covered in litter. The Thomson transfer coach dropped us off at a small roundabout and when we enquired about the...

Our room was on the 3rd floor. Spacious lounge and huge balcony overlooking the sea - they all do. Bedroom smaller but with large and very comfortable bed. Some people have said the rooms need updating - ours was absolutely fine for all we wanted to do. Well resourced kitchen - microwave, hob, toaster, fridge-freezer, kettle and dishwasher. All rooms...

The reception staff were helpful, the restaurant staff were friendly and cheerful. The food was very nice and varied -something for everyone. The apartment was large, comfortable, clean and quiet. The balcony was huge with fantastic views! On the down side, not enough soap provided and it was in tiny amounts, had to keep asking for more, which was annoying,...

Stayed for a week half board. Very nice rooms. Loads of space. Enormous balcony (every room has one). The staff were fantastic and the food in the standard restaurant very passable indeed. My room and the hotel generally seemed very clean indeed. I didn't try 'Aqua', their higher-end restaurant (wish I had though). An excellent place with incredible views. The...

Spent one week at this hotel , very quiet which was what we wanted. Large terrace with breathtaking views over Los Gigantos . Pool was lovely and never busy. Entertainment was provided if that's what you want. Facilities in apartment were good . Would not hesitate to return . Remember though the hotel is at the top of the hill...

We were a month on tenerife and had 4 different hotels. This was the best. Rather dull hallway at the rooms area, but the room were good and ok new. Great views, think everybody have that. The restaurant tells about a Michelin chef, yes yes I think he was not there when we ate there. The food was just ok....

This was our third - and not last - stay at Royal Sun Resort. Build on a hill side, meaning that ALL rooms have a fantastic view to the West, enjoying the wonderful sight of the beautiful sunset - in this case even towards La Gomera. And - the balcony is large - good guess is 20 m2. Sun arrives...

Stayed here for a week prior to Christmas 2016. Lovely hotel and good location, although not for the unfit due to the hill. We enjoyed our daily walk down into the town and kept us fit. We were half board and cannot fault the food and service. Staff were lovely. Normally stay in adult only hotel as prefer peace and...

Standing proudly against the backdrop of the majestic cliffs that give their name to the tranquil resort village of Los Gigantes ("The Giants"), the Royal Sun Resort is set on one of the cliffs' highest points, with unsurpassed views of the village, the charming marina, and the sea beyond. Quality is the hallmark of every aspect of the Royal Sun Resort, from the tasteful, designer-furnished apartments and the choice of on-site restaurants, to the level of the service offered by the friendly staff. Two swimming pools, one for children and one for adults, are set in the middle of the complex, with a sparkling waterfall flowing from one to the other and superb panoramic views from their surrounding sunbathing terraces. Next to the swimming pools is the pool bar "Oasis Abraxas", supplying the perfect refreshments to keep you cool whilst sunbathing. From elegant dining in "Aqua" restaurant, managed by Lucas Maes, one of the prestigious Canarian chefs, to thematic buffets in the sophisticated "Regency" restaurant with its splendid views, the range of restaurants within the complex serves every taste. For evening entertainment, try the impressive "Imperial" bar and lounge, complete with an entertainment area where regular shows take place. If you like a bit of activity, the modern gym and the aerobics room should keep you busy. One hundred and twenty apartments are spread over six floors, linked by corridors and lifts. There are studios, one-bedroom, two-bedrooms and three-bedrooms apartments, all spacious and comfortable with designer furnishings including air conditioning in lounge areas, satellite flat screen TV, direct dial telephone and a complete kitchen. The bathrooms have a walk in shower, or semi-circular bath and a window that looks out on to a mini cactus garden.
