Our small family run guest house provides B&B for hikers families and visitors to nearby Mount Teide. We are situated overlooking the village plaza with its fountains and flowerbeds and statue of Vilaflor's patron saint Hermano Pedro just above to the right is the 17th Century church named in his honour. We have 6 ensuite rooms all of them have central heating which is powered by an Eco friendly Biomass boiler. The building dates back to the 18th century and we have tried to keep the decor to suit this period. Outside there is a heated pool and a hot tub and we are installing a sauna room at the end of March 2015. There are numerous sunbeds and seating to enjoy the sun. Inside there are several wheelchair friendly rooms with wide doors on the ground floor. A small fitness room with a table tennis table and a pool table free for guests to use on the 1st floor. On the ground floor there is a guest lounge with an open fire for chilly winter evenings and a small kitchenette for heating food and drinks. We have links with local hiking guides and fitness coaches and also organise holidays for guided hikes, bike tours of the island and fitness holidays along with birdwatching and night sky tours to Mount Teide all these can be booked through our email address.

Great stargazing trip up Mount Teide from Casa Zaguan. Watched the sunset with a glass of cava then viewed the stars. Knowledgeable, friendly guide pointed out the constellations and we were able to view them through his powerful telescope. Lovely stay in the traditional hotel....More
The room was excellent! The place as a Hotel not so good.
I would class it as no more than a B&B
The listed facilities were not available.
Sauna, not working.
Hot Tub broken
Pool not cleaned.
Food was acceptable but not great
The positive reviews are for the evening excursion from the coastal resorts up into the National Park. Staying at Casa Zaguan on the one week stargazing trip is another thing. Especially at £399 each for B&B.

Our first experience with this hotel was to be served with Pizza, Chips & Beer, very well cooked & a lovely view overlooking the clouds covering Los Christanos & Playa Las Americas.

Grotty place, rude and inconsiderate owners. No water in the en suite bathroom for a shower or wash. The pool and surrounds were filthy - sunbeds that were.so grubby you couldn't use them. The hot tub was horrible.
Stargazing was OK if you were stood...More

There are several things about this review that concerns me I cant be sure but it looks like a vindictive review from a recently departed partner. First why wait 18 months to put on a review if they were so unhappy with the experience. The...More

The fella who owns the guest house takes you up in a mini van. Maximum 8 people. Stops for fizz and sunset , then up to plateau to watch stars rising for about an hour. After you return to hotel and go on the roof to look at stars Theo his huge telescope. Reduced price for those who stay at hotel. If you google the property then it should come up on the site.
I suggest it's a warm weather experience, too cold at this time of year plus snow could stop you going up.
