We paid for the Platinum club members package. Very friendly staff. Love the pool area, the lady working down there was excellent. The food in the main restaurant was ok at breakfast time and a mixed bag at dinner time. Some very odd combinations. As a club member you can use the ala carte restaurant 3 nights per week, great food and service. Our room overlooked the pool and out to sea,the bed was quite comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The only thing we don't like and the only reason we won't return was the Non platinum Club Members using Platinum amenities. Every day at the pool, restaurants and bar, staff trying to remove blue badge guests. We thought it was fun at the start but we felt so,so sorry for the staff. And the icing on the cake two homeless men in the pool. The smell was so bad, that was the end of us using the pool. Told 6 members of staff and not one seemed shocked.…
Stayed here from 6th March for 1 week, just before the lockdown. Arrived lady on reception was rude ignored us. The man who delt with us was great, checked in went to room on 4th floor, reception on 3rd floor so not to far away. Pool was great one was cold one was warmish, loads hhof sunbeds available whatever time of day. Food always went early, was great could'nt complain. Hotel stunning inside, drinks okay, self service. Would go again, no complaints, a few shops outside went to the Indian amazing & the pub at the end was really good.
Hotel has bad maintenance while we checked in 2 guests complained regarding issues at the bathroom, one said it flooded the other one said it stink. Food at the restaurant has medium quality. During our stay we could not feel good will for best service. We park at the indoor parking but we had problem to get out while checking out because no one answered the bell. I would rate this hotel as 3 stars.
This is just a short note of support and appreciation to the management and staff of the Hotel Landmark at Playa de la Arena where we were staying from the 13th March 2020, until the final closedown, when the last few remaining tourists were flown back to our own country, even if not to our own airports. When we first arrived we were told that the beaches were closed and all day trips had been cancelled, then the next day we were told that the hotel had to exercise a lockdown, but this was not properly enforced. Then the next day, Monday, this was enforced with the pool area being closed, all entertainment and bars closed, and we were ordered to stay in our rooms, or at least not to congregate in groups. This was when the staff of the hotel really showed their worth! The dining room was still open for all meals, and the length of time was slightly extended, and while we were in the dining room for lunch and dinner, all drinks were available, and after few days the staff brought the spirits bottles in from the closed bars, so we could really enjoy our meal times, even as our numbers were getting progressively smaller. Even away from meal times there was a deserted bar and coffee bar where we could help ourselves to any extra drinks. At all times the staff were an unbelievable example of the spirit of the hotel chain, even though they had their own worries about what would be happening to their employment after we all left. And by the time we left on Sunday 22nd March, and our numbers were down to little over a dozen, the staff were still very concerned about us, and our journeys home. I wish them all the very best, and hope to be able to see them again when life starts to return to normal.…
Just returned from a ten night break, my second visit to this hotel. Just as last year a very pleasant stay in this Quality Hotel. Having read some comments about standards of catering since change of ownership I can say that the quality and choice of food was better. Remarks regarding unhelpful staff and lack of during meal times are unfounded. It is a beautiful hotel. Would not upgrade to adult package as didn’t seem value for money and most of the elite few looked like they were in self isolation or a leper colony! Only gripe again..... single beds pushed together on wheels. Attempts to have a romantic morning were reminiscent of the film Titanic.....” Come Back Jack as she scooted across the room. Top tip.... turn the caster wheels sideways and put the brakes on! Aside, lovely hotel excellent rooms, great entertainment. Fully Recomended.…
