We hired a car because we knew we'd be doing a few daytrips/exploring local towns etc. If hiring a car be aware that although you fly into one terminal (T2 I think) some of the hire companies are in T1 so you'll need to get the bus between the two. Shop on site closes at 7 so won't be open. As far as I know there's a bus from the Park to the airport so if you're not planning on exploring that might be an option (I'd strongly recommend the car though). We always hire our towels (We went with Kelair) and they're fine.
Hi Mark, as above, sitebsituated on steep hill, and roads are narrow and busy. Cycling along the prom is good and catered for with cycle lanes, but you've got to get there and back again. Have a great time
