A calm place to relax and do some hikes in the region. There is a restaurant at the place - food is great and staff friendly. Rooms are clean but in need of some renovation work. Nice (included) breakfast - you can choose from about 4 different options. Price a bit high compared to other places in the region.

The hotel is a beautiful old house with a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. But food is really too expensive (tortilla chips con guacamole 7 USD; one grilled banana in a sugar sauce 5 USD) and only okay. Avoid the chicken wings. But we can recommend the chocolate cake!

Also it is just a short drive away from the Cotopaxi National Park were we went in the morning. They also have horses and you can do a horseback riding tour in the region of the andes. The food... Lovely hosteria, quite old style and very relaxed. Lovely staff, very attentive, warm welcome and excellent food. Rooms comfortable and lovely sitting areas inside and out. Close to PanAmerican Highway, so easy to access by bus or car. Highly recommend it for access to Cotapaxi or for travelling south of Quito.
