Back after 11 days at Estival Park for the second time but my wife's first time. We stayed in hotel 1 as only hotel 1 and 2 was open. Arrived early had a early flight and on arrival we was told our room won't be ready until 2pm. We had been given our room key at 2pm to find our room was not ready as the cleaner was just doing our room. Finally at 3 we got into our room. Our view was suppose to be pool view which it was but we couldn't see a single thing as we was above the restraunt and lots of big palmtress blocking our view. Majority of the staff didn't look like they wanted to be there. There was few who where very helpful mainly the entertainment team. There was 1 young lad didn't managed to get his name who I couldn't thank enough but i no he was Polish and always wore a cap he always got me involved in the games during the day and made my holiday that more special. The cleaners who cleaned our room didn't even clean them properly. The entertainment for the evening my personal view on this was very poor you had kids entertainment on from 7 till 8 then nothing at all from 8-10. Just 1 act a night from 10-11..alot of waiting around till then. The food again My own opinion wasn't great but each to the own I must admit I was very disappointed with My second return. But it didn't stop us enjoying our holiday.

We stayed here for a week in a family room in hotel 1. The hotel was lovely, the rooms cleaned everyday and towels changed. The food was great always something different to try and the kids found something every night. However it seems that hotel 1 was the priority. It had the best entertainment at night, the kids entertainments was always in hotel 1 and the daytime entertainment was also around hotel 1s pool. Hotel 2 seemed to be forgot. You can use either of the hotels facilities but getting a spot around hotel 1 in the day or in the evening was impossible. This is the second we have stayed here and the 1st time was 7years ago. Earlyay so before the season officially started and wasn't any entertainment on really, which was fine coz our son was only 6 months old. But this time travelling with a 7 and 5 year old in season, we did expect a little more. The staff, hotel and food was amazing but I don't think we will be returning again.

Great hotel ideal for families with small children. Hotel was clean and pool and gardens were cleaned daily. Our room was large and accommodated us as a family of 4. We asked for a pool view. Only negative is room is very noisy at noght at the entertainment is outside by pool area so if you have little ones and want a quiet ro i would suggest front of hotel amd maybe mention this to reception staff upon check-in. The pool was large. There is a lifeguard on duty. Towels available for hire at €10 deposit that is refundable. The hotel entertainment team were great and worked hard providing games and activities during the day. Mini disco at 8pm in hotel 1. Band start at 10pm. You can use both hotel complexes for food, pools, bars and entertainment. Entertainment in the evening was brilliant. The best entertainment we've had in an all inclusive. Queen was brilliant and the Rock band great too ! There is a luxury spa on the complex. This is private and costs €22 or €30 for a 2 day pass. However we used the indoor pool and spa area for free. This was extremely clean and modern and inc sauna, steam room, Jacuzzis, and jet pools. There is a large gym too. There is a mini club for children daily. There is a very small play area for children. This would suit under 6s mainly. Staff were lovely and friendly. Big shout out to Pau and Ibra both lovely guys and part of the bar team. All staff work extremely hard. Food was good. There was lots of choice. It was the best food by far out of previous hotels that we have visited. (There are negative reviews but in my opinion these are people who don't often choose an all inc hotel) We travelled with a small baby and there were microwaves available for use. We didn't find much for the baby to eat as he is on purees so i suggest bring your own. Also no plastic plates for kids so perhaps bring some as we had a few breakages as baby would launch plates ! La pineda itself has a beautiful beach. The resort was quite when we visited with a handful of bars. We had a drink at the waterfront bar and also whisler bar which was up marked and very nice. La Pineda has the water park within walking distance. However we didn't visit on this occasion. We walked into Salou it took about 44 minutes with small children. Mych faster without kids. Buses are on your doorstep and you can visit local towns including salou, Cambrillis for €2.40 pp. We hired a safe for around €12 You also have to pay resort tax upon check-in and this was approx €18

My partner and I have recently returned from a week all inclusive at Estival Park. We had the absolute best time!! All the staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with queries. Food in the restaurants was amazing! Really high quality and a different variety each night. My only criticism is that each night seems to be a theme night and if you don't like that particular theme there aren't a lot of other choices (for example one night was seafood night and I struggled to find many options that weren't seafood). There is a hot food snack option by the bar downstairs and a side room where you can pour your own drinks and grab ice creams/cakes. I really liked the freedom of being able to get your own drinks in here. The bar charges €2 for cocktails which my partner and I thought was an extremely good price. They were really tasty and had a great variety too! We enjoyed these on an evening and had the free drinks during the day time. The pool area is lovely! There is a good variety of entertainment but you don't feel forced into joining in like you do at some hotels so this was really nice. The staff entertaining were really enthusiastic, which helped people to enjoy the experience even more. The pool itself is spotlessly clean and there are a huge number of sun beds and sun chairs. What I like about Estival is their no reserving sunbed policy, it gives everyone a chance to enjoy the beds and relax by the pool. The rooms were also spotless and the staff came back to check everything was okay in our room once we entered, which felt extra caring. Rooms are really spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bathroom is really nice and provides shampoo/shower gel and a hair dryer which was really helpful. There was a good variety of evening entertainment but it can get very busy so I would advise arriving early if you want table/chairs for the entertainment. We accessed the spa pool area one day, which was absolutely amazing! So relaxing and a nice bit of variety from the main pool area. The hotel is in a fantastic location, really close to the local beach/strip but also only short bus rides away to visit other places for day trips. Overall we had an amazing experience at Estival Park and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

We stayed for a week at this hotel, the rooms are a little dated but clean and spacious. We stayed in Hotel 1. There were three of us staying, including my toddler. I usually hate buffet style eating but was really pleasantly surprised by the all you can eat buffet in this hotel. There was lots of choice, quite a lot of freshly cooked food, the items in the hot section were being frequently replenished. We ate at various different times and my food was always hot and of decent quality. The staff were all very friendly, my daughter was too young for the kids club but loved the mini disco every night. It was just the fun needed to get rid of the last bit of energy before bed. The swimming pools were nice, but I have to say the tiles etc needed a bit of a deep clean. La Pineda is quite a small place but there is enough for a small family, beach and waterpark within a few minutes walk. We also got a 20min bus to Tarragona and Salou was just a short drive away as well. Overall we had a really lovely holiday and the hotel was great for everything we needed. It would have been 5 rating except for an incident we had. We hired a kettle for the week as there is no kettle or iron in the room. It cost us €14. All was fine until the last night when I boiled the kettle and the wire burst into flames. The hotel reception did not seem concerned at all, that there was a fire or that no fire alarm went off. Thankfully there was no damage, the fire went out quickly and my toddler didn’t get near enough to touch it. It did concern me about the safety standards at the hotel. We have raised this with the Tui rep who assured us it would be looked into.

After reading reviews a few weeks before going was slightly juvbious about aboht tl expect. Check in was quick simple and easy we arrived 2 hours before check in time but our rooms were ready to go. The rooms and bathroom is slightly in and dated but nothing to much to worry about as we didn't spend much time In them. The pools were quite cold but always cleaned daily. Hotel 1 allowed you to have small inflatables which was good especially with having a little one with us but hotel 2 was quite strict on this but was quieter and had more of a relaxed feel about it. The food well you get what you pay for. Plenty of choice, good variety of food and themed nights. Couldn't fault the food for an all inclusive buffet, probably one of the better ones. My nephew loved the play area but was locked during the kids club hours and he was to young to join in. Couldn't Really get him out the pool. The staff were always polite and friendly. Alot of drinks, beer, soft drinks , hot drinks and cocktails and a children's cocktails were all self service which was nice. Everyday there was a new or different cocktail in the machine, which was great. Help your self ice creams and milkshakes, not a great deal of choice for lollies but again nothing to complain about. We tried the snack bar for lunch one day but this wasn't great, but not terrible. We preferred going to the lunch buffet. One downside we found was that the entertainment didn't start till 10pm after the mini disco finished at 8.30pm long wait for the little ones. The queen tribute, the magic act and circus act was amazing lots of energy and very engaging. Tables outside filled up very quickly also so if you wasn't outside for a table by 8 you would have no chance. Weather was average, not bad for going end of season , few raining cloudy days but still managed to get a good tan. Would 100% come back, overall a very good holiday.

As a family of 6, 2 adults and kids ages 10,10,8 & 5 we have just returned from a week at estival park. We stayed in block 4 2 bed apartment room 4830. Our room was within apartment block on the complex which could only be accessed via locked gate by residents of the block. There was nice large pool with separate paddling pool bigger than pools in main hotels and from what we seen much cleaner. The room itself was spacious and immaculately clean. Cleaners came daily with fresh towels. There was living area with sofa bed with pull out trundle bed beneath, comfy armchair and coffee table and tv then a 6 seater table and chairs in middle of room onto the kitchen which has a fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, oven and hob and plenty Crockery etc. There is a twin bedroom with storage cupboard and a double bedroom (2 singles put together) with floor to ceiling wall to wall storage which is fab in addition to a further 2 cupboards in the hallway, the bathroom was small but functional with walk in rainfall shower. Outside the apartment there was a large walled and gated terrace with awning perfect if you have smaller kids. I would honestly recommend spending the extra to be in apartment away from main hotel purely for noise levels and no bun fights for sun beds as was always loads available there. in hotel 1 & 2 there is snack bar our kids were happy they have fresh nuggets and chips, hotdogs, toasties, burgers, salads, fruit and ice lollies all inclusive. There is also self serve drinks machines and small selection of pastries. The bar serves all the usual drinks with a pre mixed cocktail avail or you can pay €2 for a freshly made one which were lovely. The restaurant’s were always busy but food was constantly being replenished. The food was plentiful with loads of salad choices, cheese and cured meats, soups, always pasta and rice with various sauces to choose from and several meat and fish choices along with fresh vegetables and of course chips. There is ice cream served both lunch and dinner with a selection of deserts and sweeties at dinner time for the kids. The food was generally hot but sometimes it could have been warmer that being said we never once struggled to eat here and find it amazing that anyone can complain about the food if they do they are beyond fussy! There is a mini club open from 10:30 to 1:30 then 4:30-8 then mini disco at hotel 1 from 8-8:30 avail to kids ages 3-12. The staff work hard with the kids and they all had a good time with lots of arts and craft. Evening entertainment was hit and miss. It doesn’t come on until 10pm and it’s a scramble for chairs however we absolutely loved the queen tribute act definitely worth the watch and the magician show was good too. We seen some entertainment by pool at hotel 1 during day however we just passed by so can’t comment on it. The hotel is 2 minutes to the beach which is immaculately clean and the sea was nice and warm. You can hire sun beds with parasol €25 for the day. There is a small row of shops including a supermarket with sandwich/bakery , tobacco shop, usual souvenirs and the tourist attractions shop and bus plana there is also a cash machine here and a selection of restaurants along the front. Taxi rank and bus stops are also here. The area is generally quiet but we enjoyed this aspect of it. Taxi into heart of salou is €14 or 30 minutes walk via the road as it cannot be reached along the sea front. Salou had everything down to McDonald’s for those looking for something busier. Staff at the hotel were generally all friendly with exception of a couple who were little rude. I will say the lifeguards are strict no pool toys and are quite aggressive in manner towards people one was sacked during our stay from main hotel pool due to this apparently they come from an out sourced company. We done the trip to nou camp stadium and Barcelona zoo which is fab day out for kids booked with tui as worked out cheaper than bus plana and it was well organised. Overall we have said we would return here but only to the apartments not the hotel itself. As lovely as hotels are the pools were little grubby and sun beds were being occupied at 7am I can’t be doing with that nonsense! Please don’t read the bad reviews and panic like we done prior to coming we travel frequently and this has been a great stay

We were looking for a holiday which involved at maximum a 3 hour flight and having last visited Spain 21 years ago decided it was time to return and booked a package holiday to this resort. Have to admit I always read reviews but take both the 1 and 5 star reviews with a pinch of salt however the closer our departure date came the number of negative reviews being posted increased and I was seriously considering cancelling at one point but thought keep and open mind and decide for yourself and I am so glad I did. There are so many positive aspects to this resort that outweigh the negative ones and all I’ll say is don’t let the seriously negative reviews put you off this resort! Fabulous location a mere 5 minute walk to a great beach that is cleaned every day and is glorious to walk on. Yes there is a working Port close by but it’s super interesting to watch all the different types of ships from cargo to super yachts coming and going Food is fine, there is always something for everyone and if you can’t find something then you’re being very fussy - it’s not gourmet but the spread that this hard working team put on every day is amazing - they do not stop and have to be commended for their patience, work ethic and all round attitude to feeding the masses 3 times a day. Every night has a theme from Mexican to Fish with loads of options there was even a Roast Dinner on Sunday. Call out to Arca who looked after us throughout our stay - always smiling and so hardworking so thank you Some of the facilities are fabulous - gym was exceptional but bear in mind it is a club frequented by locals. If you get the chance to use the Aquum Spa please do it - 3 hours of the best hydrotherapy I’ve experienced. Room was great - aircon worked fine, lovely view from a large balcony - great for morning coffee, fridge, kettle, safe if required, hairdryer, fresh towels everyday, basic toiletries and a great shower. TV had 4 UK channels. If you like a morning coffee I suggest bringing your own as there is no coffee available until 10am from the bar or drinks room on ground floor and the 2 sachets that you get in your room are not replenished when room is cleaned - we asked but didn’t get any so bought a jar from local supermarket. Mattresses in rooms are tired and very hard, I prefer a softer mattress so struggled with sleep on first night and was worried how I was going to sleep for the rest of the week. However there was a trundle bed under my bed with a softer mattress which I switched out and slept better thereafter. Staff are incredibly hard working and yes some are a bit grumpy but when you witness what they have to put up with then I don’t blame them. I would say that a lot of the issues raised in previous reviews are as a result of a not so nice tourist - if you receive bad customer service have you ever considered you may be a bad customer? Basic manners cost nothing and go a long way!! The staff are constantly cleaning and picking up after said tourists that appear to have forgotten their manners and treat the common areas of the hotel like their personal dumping ground - at times I was ashamed to say I was from the UK. Slobs on tour comes to mind!! Hotel 1 in general was what I would describe as a typical Spanish hotel with marble stairs, dark wood and an impressive reception however behind the facade the hotel is a bit tired - pool area especially needs attention with tiles in the pool broken or missing, some of the pool furniture needs replaced and other areas need a lick of paint. The restaurant is a lovely area and better than Hotel 2 restaurant however Hotel 2 feels airier, more modern and a lot quieter. I would have preferred staying at Hotel 2 for the all round calmer feel to the public areas. Entertainment was great during the day for the kids and adults however if you have a room overlooking the pool and like to retire early to bed bring earplugs! The entertainment at night is usually a band and is very LOUD to the point completely OTT. We did request a quiet room and after visiting Hotel 2 wondered why on earth we were placed in Hotel 1 with all the buzz of the fair when Hotel 2 was much quieter and tranquil. Checkin was pretty smooth however be prepared to pay your tourist tax - we were charged €18 and if you want a safe in room there is a €2 a day charge. One thing the hotel could provide is an information sheet at checkin with basics such as where the restaurants are, meal times, opening times for the drinks room, what drinks are included in your food package, entertainment schedule for each hotel, rules for your chosen dining options, gym etiquette- needed a towel so had to go back to the room to get one before being able to use the gym. This information is dotted around the hotel but until you know where to look for that information you wander around wasting time trying to suss out the lay of the land!! Took us 40mins to find the restaurant and I still couldn’t work out if wine was included with our evening meal? All-in-all we had a great holiday and thought our return to Spain was a positive experience.

I don’t often write a review but felt I needed to for people who have booked and are worried as we were, about their holiday. We are on day three, staying in a duplex room 1010 overlooking the pool and evening entertainment! We always pick a 4 star all inclusive and for the money you pay it’s brilliant! The food is the same heat wise as other all inclusive hotels we’ve been to and there is also plenty of choice. I can’t imagine not being able to d find something. Never found stale bread yet! Last nights seafood selection was excellent and throughly enjoyed. Have managed to get a sunbed so far but would agree there’s not enough, met some lovely people, and found the staff mostly happy and helpful. The pool area is cleaned every morning. The beach is only a short walk away and gorgeous sea is still warm. The entertainment finishes at a reasonable time and hasn’t affected our sleep. We have all said we don’t know what people expect, we are loving it and would return. You do have to hire a kettle and we have done quite happily. Anyway I’m back to enjoying my holiday! Just hope it helps anyone who is worried.
