Our hosts couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. The accommodation was of a high standard but not at all fussy. It was also exceptionally clean. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. And the views..... Spectacular!
My husband, myself and my three year old daughter stayed in La Jaima tent in June this year. We did wonder where we were going to end up(!) since there is a very windy mountain road up to the Refugio Marnes, however, when you get...More
We stayed last week in Refugio Marnes and slept in the tent, its a beautiful situated place and you have a lot of privacy. Very close to the swimming pool. In the morning the breakfast was served in Los Establos and we had two times...More
We went there recently to relax and cut ourselves from our busy lives and were very pleased that La Jaima exactly gave us that. Our hosts were lovely and non-intrusive in our daily routine. The swimming pool was lovely and the setting idyllic. Be aware...More

Can anybody advise the condition of the roads approaching Refugio Marnes please?

Hi Tony thanks for your question. The road to the Marnes area is very good, up from the 332, the main road that passes the coastline, it is a small mountain pass really of 8,5km. After that, the drive way up to Refugio Marnes (1,5km) is partly tarmac, concrete and then it is a dirt road from about 500mtrs it has some bumps but any car can get there comfortably, hope to welcome you to Refugio Marnes soon,
Best Regards, Willem Refugio Marnes
