Basic, but for the cost of the room fantastic value for money and as only sleeping there and exploring London during the day an ideal place to stay. A short walk to the borehamwood train station taking you past elstree studios.

A slightly dated Travelodge, but comfortable none the less. Friendly staff and the room was clean. 2 extra beds made up for the kids on arrival.
Room was a bit dark as it only had small wall lights, no main light for the room.
The hotel is needs a good make over. The rooms are showing signs neglect. The heating was far to high making the room to hot to have a good night's sleep with out having the windows open. The night porter though helpful with the heating...More

It depends how you define walking distance. It would take me 20 minutes to walk to Elstree & Borehamwood mainline station where you can catch Thameslink to the City. You can catch a bus to the station from very close to... More
It depends how you define walking distance. It would take me 20 minutes to walk to Elstree & Borehamwood mainline station where you can catch Thameslink to the City. You can catch a bus to the station from very close to the hotel (ask the staff) but during school times the traffic in the High Street is heavy and it would be quicker to walk.
