Called in as we were passing. Ordered the beef rib, it was spot on. My partner had the mac & cheese that was also excellent. The price was very reasonable as well. The Guinness was perfect. Welcoming staff as well. Will be going back there soon.
Arrival Able to check in early, after a discussion with the receptionist. Room Expected more for the £150/night charge. Beds on the hard side of comfortable. Not particularly clean: rings on the bedside table and soiling under the WC seat. At this price I shouldn't have to get my own Clinell wipes out and re-clean the room. Limited seating for the size of the room. Be aware that there is a risk of noise from the street outside and the pub opposite. Never quite worked out how to adjust the shower temperature. Food Very good, well prepared and tasty. Breakfast Sian is a superstar; she made our stay! Have a look at BBC food's recipe for vegetarian Glamorgan sausages. The ones you are currently offering are pretty poor.
We Stayed here Mid September 2020 for 2 nights and wish we had stayed longer. The room was brilliant and Max our Labrador was given a doggie welcome pack on our arrival which was a lovely gesture. The location and surrounding countryside was stunning.A lovely 40 minute drive to some glorious beaches on the West coast. The food and service in the restaurant was simply Amazing it was the best food we have had in a long while. It was great being able to have Max with us whilst we were dining. We will definitely be returning again. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay with you a special one. Paul & Rebecca and Max Robinson
We had a good 2 day stay here, very central to the town and a great base for walking. To get to the rear car parking you need to find the little back street which runs parallel to the high street - turn down by the church. The outside seating has been greatly improved by being partitioned into individual booths, which has also made each table windproof and private. Rooms are decent and clean. Covid19 security good with well thought through systems, bt rather let down by waitresses in the evening not wearing any face cover.
Dropped in just for a drink whilst on holiday, hadn't booked as we didn't think we wanted to eat. The staff were brilliant and found us a covered table outside as we had a dog. Looked at the menu and decided there were quite a few dishes to try, so stayed. Well worth it, good food at good prices. Went back the next day too! Only down side, and it's not a criticism of the Hotel, is the main road running alongside, could get noisy now and again.
