I rented out The Old Priory for a weekend with a group of friends as we were attending Bath races. The owners were very helpful throughout the booking process and were very flexible in accommodating all of us by providing extra beds. The house is fantastic for large group bookings as there is plenty of space in the communal areas,... More

We rented out the Old Priory for my sister's hen do and it was fantastic. Melody and Matt made us very welcome and they provided us with lots of helpful information prior to and on our arrival. The Old Priory had everything we needed for a truly wonderful weekend. The kitchen and bar were superbly equipped as was the TV... More

Two nights here and we didn't want to leave! The house itself is phenomenol with huge stone flag floors, the biggest hearth I've ever seen outside of a castle and even a resident tiger (just wait until you see it)! We stayed in The Chapel room which was a great size, en suite and with its own ' vestibule'. The... More

Such a wonderful old place, I really liked it not least because my father lived here as a child and the property features in my next book. Very ye olde English, loaded with charm, I can't think of anything I didn't like.

I have just spent three nights here whilst researching my family history; many of my ancestors came from Midsomer Norton and were miners. The reason I picked The Old Priory was it is one of the oldest houses in Midsomer Norton and therefore in keeping with my visit and it is close to the St John the Baptist Church and... More

We were due to spend our wedding night at the hotel and arranged to deliver bags early in the morning so that we did not have to check in half way through our day. I turned up with the bags at 8am as arranged waited outside for 15 minutes and after several bell rings was about to leave when a... More

So let’s get the facts correct here as we fundamentally disagree with almost everything in this review. This couple booked a premium room with a four poster bed for their wedding night around six months ago by telephone. The quoted room rate, which was inclusive of breakfast, was agreed at this time without question. The wife called by telephone two... More

While retaining the wonderful ancient architectural detail, the friendly and hospitable proprietors have refurbished to the highest modern standards. It was a pleasure to spend time at The Old Priory. My well priced room had a four poster and great character while the WC to the standard of a modern spa hotel.

We stayed at the Old Priory for one night. We usually stay in Bristol but due to the Rugby World Cup in Cardiff all the hotels were full. We were very pleased we booked here. It's a pleasant, quiet hotel in the centre of Midsomer Norton. Very handy to visit Bath. Room was a bit small but it was nice.... More
