Wanted to go surfing for a weekend in Porthcawl so booked into Brodawel campsite. They allowed us to camp for just 1 night which was a great start as many campsites do not accept 1 night bookings, even though I try and assure them that we will be so tired from surfing that we won't be up all night partying....

Stayed bank holiday weekend. Only an hour from home but felt like a different world. Were greeted by very friendly owners who quickly booked us in and showed us to our pitches. Nice and large with plenty of space for the tents and cars. The village of Nottage was a 10 min walk with 3 good pubs and you could...

We bought a new motorhome and decided to camp not too far from home to assess the van for any teething problems. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The toilets clean, the play park was perfect for our kids and the site was dog friendly. We had a lovely couple of days and would definitely come back.

We recently bought our 1st caravan and wanted to go somewhere close to home to test it out. Myself, my husband and 3 year old son set off for a short break. The site is down a short lane which was signposted. The owners are very friendly and helped us site the van in a perfect pitch for us. We...

So we arrived at Brodawel camping park after a week of rain, hoping that we would at least get some sunshine while we were camping. The lady at reception was friendly enough but the owner was like a mini hitler. Telling us that we weren't allowed to move our cars as we might damage the grass. It wasn't our fault...

Another enjoyable weekend at Brodawel. This is a well run medium sized park, with clean toilet block, hot free showers and a small well stocked shop. Really, really busy at peak season on weekends, so book at least one month in advance. Nice tarmac road around the field and the grass / hedges are maintained to a good standard. Great...

We arrived at Brodawel on a Monday in school holidays. The lane from the main road to the camp site is very tight so be aware of that, there's barely space for a caravan to get through. There's not a lot there as far as entertainment is concerned but all the necessities are there, clean shower block and toilets and...

Visited with my husband and 2 children my brother, sister in law and their 2 children, we arrived at 1:55 pm to a note on the shop door where u check in saying the shop is closed and to go to the main house, which my husband and brother did, they were basically told to go away until 2:00pm because...

Situated in a lovely spot, just a small drive away from town and beach. Greeted by happy, friendly staff. Facilities were very clean, only downside we found, was the lighting in the toilets and showers. Could do with more lights so not in the dark so much when in the cubicles. Other than that little niggle absolutely top site!
