Looked to order takeaway food for a party of 12 people as advertised on the website. Phoned to place order but are not doing a takeaway service anymore. You should take it off your website as it is confusing and misleading to customers.

We were in sea view upgrade room. Bed not a king and shower over bath pathetic. Food was ok but poorly presented. Melon for breakfast not prepared properly. Chips with dinner were greasy and smoked potatoes soggy. Lemon sole tasteless and felt it was previously frozen not fresh. Sea food platter ok but poorly presented on too small a plate. Not what I expected for its reputation or money

Dear 924jill149 Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback for us. We welcome all feedback and are very sorry that you were disappointed with aspects of your stay - this is obviously not the experience that we want our guests to have. Had we known about the various issues at the time we would, of course, have done all that we could to rectify them for you. Since having reopened in July under what are very trying circumstances and constraints, it has to be said that we have welcomed hundreds of very happy guests, and therefore it is very disappointing to hear of your experience. We will of course take your comments on baord and hope that we will welcome you back to The Pierhouse in the future. Kind regards Fiona McLean General Manager

Was welcomed like regulars. Booked 2 hrs before arriving which i strongly advise. Very popular, amazing food and plenty of it. Tables separated by another one topped with plants so did not feel you were on top of the other diners. Family, friends or a couple were all catered for. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is stylish and the service is superb (good attention to detail but not suffocating), the food could not be improved with a good range of wi es and soft drinks. The views are lovely, with great local walks and a ferry available just outside the hotel. Highly recommended.
