This is a fabulous hotel. The rooms have very comfy beds and the shower is always hot. The staff were very friendly and the location is perfect for a possible view of the aurora as light pollution is non existent. The food was absolutely superb with fresh soup or salad to start, followed by gorgeous fish, chicken or lamb. Would...

We enjoyed visiting to Snaefellsnes peninsula and our stay in Hellnar Hotel. Our superior double room with sea view and balcony (#9B) was spacious, nicely decorated, with big windows and french glass doors to access the terrace. It had a small sitting room with kettle where we enjoyed making tea and watch the rain. Unfortunately this day in May was...

Our family loved staying at this stylish and well situated hotel. Definitely spring for a room with a sea view, and hike down the coast line. Unforgettable experience and everyone loved it. Highlight of our Iceland trip! Also definitely eat there, the meal was great.

Fosshotel Hellnar is located in the tiny town of Hellnar on the Snaefellsnes peninsula, just a few hundred meters from the shore and 6 km from Iceland’s famous Snaefellsjokull glacier and volcano. Our room was a little fancier than most of the previous guesthouses, and overall, this felt like a higher quality guesthouse. Our room faced the ocean so the...

Stayed here a couple of nights recently. The hotel is very nice and clean and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The rooms are on the small side but clean and efficient. Had a beautiful view over the ocean which was a nice bonus even if the weather was grey and dreary during our stay. The restaurant served...

Hotel located with an ocean view, at the beginning of the hike to Arnarstarpi. Check-in was efficient, but the reception was not very friendly. Room was small but quaint and nice. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast included both hot and cold food and was very good.

I loved everything about this place, the surroundings, the staff, the view and the fact that it's eco-friendly. The room was spotless, modern and charming. The hotel fits in nicely with the landscape and is just tasteful. We didn't have an ocean view room but had breakfast out on the terrace which was amazing! We also had dinner at the...

The room was simple but clean and had all necessities. The location was superb to explore the gem that is Hellnar. Lovely beach access and hiking areas. Food was fine, a bit pricey. The only issue I had with the hotel was the reception staff being cold and abrupt. Rather giving off a condescending feel. All other staff were wonderful...
