I have just returned from a weeks skiing holiday in Hotel Roma,Claviere, and I can honestly say it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, in my life! We were expecting basic but did not expect dirty rooms. The floors were covered in dirt and dust; we had to ask for them to be cleaned as clearly it...

Fairly basic hotel but fantastic value for money ski hotel. Although the facilities are basic they are more than adequate. Comfy bed, plenty of hot water for showering, basic breakfast but a pretty good four course evening meal, including wine. Well located for the slopes with basic ski and boot hire in house, upgraded hires very close by. Final icing...

Service was bad, rooms are dirty. Tiny portions of food. Also very unvaried. Not much parking. One plus is being close to ski slope. Many school trips come here so you will probably have many loud teenagers around you too. The garage is the ski room. Bar is pretty average but overpriced, even for a ski resort.

The Roma is situated in the center of Claviere a tiny unspoiled alpine village, and is ideally placed for quick access to the slopes. Always a fabulous place to stay, we have visited many times over the years. A true family favorite and we hope to return soon. Especial thanks as always to Diane and Noel.

I travelled to the Hotel Roma with a group of fellow university students, and we had a brilliant stay there, as all the staff were extremely friendly, sociable and accommodating to our various needs. The food was plentiful, with the opportunity for second helpings, and ensured that we did not run out of energy on the slopes; two and three...

group of 30 students came on a uni ski trip: good staff, attentive and accommodating - menu specially appropriated for allergy/dietary needs, location to slopes and equipment excellent, half hour walk to neighbour town, relaxed atmosphere, has all your basic needs

First time at hotel Roma Claviere, and it certainly won't be the last! Great stay, the staff are very welcoming and are happy to help with almost anything you can think of. Charlie the hotel manager is the stuff of legend, and the wonderful lady who runs the place (you can find her behind the bar) is an absolute babe....

Nobody could go hungry staying at Hotel Roma, with the pretty much unlimited supply of food, including delicious Italian pasta dishes every night and very cheap drinks at the bar! The staff were very accommodating with any dietry requirements for our group and all staff were so kind and welcoming, the manager, Charlie and one of our reps, Tom were...

To be honest, the hotel is very basic. But considering the priority of trip is skiing, I was not really expecting and imagining it would be a luxury resort before arrival. Clean facilities and warm spaces were my main attention, and Hotel Roma Claviere has definitely took care of that during my stay. Rooms were all fitted with ensuite bathrooms,...

The staff were very accommodating to a group of 33 masters students. All the necessities were located on their doorstep (ski lifts, ski equipment - all in house, cafes, bar, bakery, spa) all within a short walking distance. The staff were exceptionally nice (Diane and Charlie, owner and manager, were both willing to help and assist at any point of...
