I made a return visit to Hostal d'Cordero in Santa Clara in the first week of May 2022. This remains my favorite place to stay in the lively city. This B&B had to close for several months at the height of the pandemic but it returned under new management and with new staff. It has lost nothing of its charm and hospitality. Manager Gerardo and his staff were friendly and attentive to my needs. They went out of their way to make me feel like at home away from home. I got to try the beautiful rooms in a new section of the hotel, including one with a jacuzzi. The meals (breakfast and dinner, for a modest surcharge), served in the beautiful open-air courtyard with that tropical atmosphere, have lost nothing of their flavour. All in all, I was thrilled to rediscover this place, which has to rank as one of the best casas particulares on the island.…
Geraldo and Leisa made me welcome and attended to everything from internet cards to suggestions of where to go in local area. Highly recommend the breaksfast and the ropa vieja for dinner. Would definitely return here.
Nice Hostel. Beautiful garden. We had a delicious diner there. Thank you for the service! We could easily walk to Che's statue and museum and the hostel is very close to the city center. Leysa is the name of the wonderful assistant that works there. We liked her very much.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the stay at this hostel. The room was clean and the bed comfy. We were also happy with the breakfast which was offered as well as with the dinner we had once. High recommended!
My friend is a manager at a hotel in Santa Clara. I stayed at this hotel as at the time of booking his hotel was not open yet. I am SO glad I booked here - based on trip advisor reviews. Let me start off by saying my family is Cuban. I am not high maintenance and spend a significant amount of time in Cuba. I am fine staying with them in Havana with low water pressure, no hot water , uncomfortable mattress as they are my family. I also have family members who have casa particulars in Havana which I stay in also. I stayed with my husband and my family member who is Cuban. We were provided a room with 1 single bed and 1 double bed. The room was very spacious for us. I loved the hotel keeping the historical aspect of the place. Both beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful and spacious with an amazing shower head. Spending 2 months in Cuba (at my families home, at another casa which another family members owns, at a 5 star resort for 2 weeks and this hostal). This was the BEST shower we had in 2 month! Both water pressure and temperature and also the best sleep we had in 2 months. The most comfortable mattress and room temperature. They also had a lot of space, drawers, closet to unpack your belongings. The breakfast was exceptional. Better than we had at 5 star resort. Pablo the chef is what makes this place. He is friendly, exceptional, amazing service. I highly recommend the breakfast. They are also accommodating if you have an early morning departure. We also had dinner one night at this hotel, it was fantastic and the best service and dinner in Santa Clara and minutes from your room. I would highly recommend Hostal D'Cordero and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you…
