I booked a room at The Bear to attend a race day at Sandown, which is just a 5 minute walk away. The booking in was simple and efficient, the staff are efficient and polite and the room was good; the view into the rear yard was lees good! The food was good and breakfast excellent. I will be staying...

The bear hotel is located in Esther, very good location for the hotel as you can go out in the town and their is a lot to do. I really enjoyed my time staying at the bear, lovely staff very nice and professional. Good atmosphere, nice and clean and has a good style to the pub. It's a small hotel...

Had a day at Sandown Races and booked the hotel on the internet so not sure what to expect as the price was quite reasonable. We had a very pleasant surprise, a lovely pub and hotel and our room was very pleasant. We had a meal in the evening which was very good, and an excellent breakfast the next morning....

We arrived for a one night stay between visiting local attractions. We recieved a very friendly welcome and were shown to our room. Nice, clean and modern with nice little touches. We decided to dine downstairs in the restaurant instead of venturing into the town and we are glad we did. The whole restaurant is decorated beautifully. From cosy little...

I stayed for just one night at The Bear as I was invited to a friend birthday dinner held very nearby, it was so convenient. The Bear is historically a very well known Young’s Pub in Esher and has a small number of bedrooms for guests. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and the beds and furnishings comfortable, bathroom large...

Great rooms, great service, very friendly, super breakfast. Right on top of the high street, and Sandown park, highly recommended. Small car park, although I didn't eat there the menu looked really good

We stayed here en route to Essex. We know Esther well having lived in the area so chose this as our stop over from Cornwall. Our room was comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised to find real coffee in our room instead of the usual hotel instant coffee - nice touch! All the staff were welcoming and friendly. We didn't...

Nice hotel come pub. Clean rooms good size and modern bathroom. We arrived before the room was ready but were well looked after. Cases were taken up for us while we had a beer. Pleasant staff Only criticism is location is a little awkward if you don't know it as its all one way system. The car park is not...

Met in Reception by the young manager, who was very efficient & explained the arrangements very clearly. Excellent room, but as adjacent to the High Street was noisy during the Saturday evening. Bar service average - lady serving explained she didn't know how to make a dry martini & lemonade. Youngs bitter on good form. Very good English breakfast after...

My partner and I stayed over for the night as we were travelling to France the next day. What a beautiful pub to stay at for bed and breakfast. The room was lovely, quaint and spotless. The staff were very polite and breakfast was excellent!
