Nagu is a tiny place so the Hotel Lanterna could not be more centred as it is right now. In the middle of everything. As one can read from previous comments it is situated in a previous private house. During our stay they used self check-in which went without any problems according to advice received via SMS. If one does not expect 5-star service and large halls this charming hotel will suit you very well. There's plenty of positive things to tell: clean room with private bathroom (room 11), nice breakfast area, good breakfast in spite of covid-19 regulations, on first floor coffee maker, water cooker and microwave oven, super strong water pressure in shower (best ever) and plenty of hot water, restaurant just over the yard etc. Just a couple of minor negative things: the bathroom floor was a bit too chilly in September and I couldn't find a sink plug. That last one is a fact faced in most hotels I have visited. This is a place with right standards and a good choise for those wanting to have more than just B&B.…
The Lanterna Hotel is located at old private house so atmosphere were very cosy. Our room was quite small but managed to have 2 separate bed,s as well cabinet, writing table with chair as well TV, and the bed's were comfortable. Toilets + showers were shared one at corridor but there were 3 of them, so enough to serve all customers and they were clean and fresh. Special mention for a nice breakfast served to the table. Location is very good, between the center and harbour.
Me and my friend stayed at Hotel Lanterna on our way back from Utö Island. What a beautiful hotel it is! It is a located in an old house and has a beautiful interior. The beds are comfortable which is always important for a good night sleep. The owner of the hotel is really nice and helpful. We got good advice about the nearby achipelago for next trips. The breakfast was served on a warm glass porch which is so beautiful. We were at awe with all the beautiful details. Someone might not like the fact that you have to share toilet and shower. However this is clearly stated on the website and you know this beforehand. We didn't mind at all. In short me and my friend loved Hotel Lanterna and will stay there again some day. Thank you for a cosy stay!
The timber building is pretty and 5 minutes walk to everything in Nagu, including the bus stop from Turku. The owners were helpful with good suggestions of what to do in the area. Our room was small, but the beds were comfy and we could open the window to get fresh air at night. Breakfast was generous - yoghurt with nuts, dried fruit and a jam/compote, a basket of mixed bread and a plate of cheese, salami, tomato, cucumber and fruit, tea, coffee and juice. We were very happy to stay there.
We stayed with a friend for one night at Lanterna. Excellent location, very nice place, friendly owner, good breakfast, everything with the booking and check-in was very professional and flexible. Can recommend it!
Stayed here for a few days over mid-summer. We had the double en-suite room. The bathroom was a decent size, though the room itself was relatively small. Scandinavian style breakfast (not buffet). The owners are lovely & extremely helpful when recommending local places to visit, walking & cycle routes & places to eat.
The room, the location, the service - everything just perfect. We loved the athmosphere and the beauty of the property. The village of Nagu is gorgeous and provides all you need for an excellent stay.
This bed & breakfast was a great choice during our travel through the archipelago trail. The ambiente is very cozy. There are a few restaurants around the hotel, which can be easily reached by foot. The breakfast is served at the table and was very good.
Nice old country-atmosphere. Wooden building, wooden plank floors, some art pieces on the walls. Good, simple breakfast available early enough to make it to the Utö ship. Good hamburger place also next-door.
