Ok plusses first. Good breakfast and the landlady was very nice. All let down by the room we had booked a superior only to be allocated a standard as they did not know of our booking through bookings.com because there broadband wasnt working. Cable tie still holding the shower up showered more of the wall than you. No extractor fan...

Staff were friendly. Breakfast delicious! Room rate fantastic. Great base for everywhere! room lovely, slight noise as u would expect being above a pub but nothing major. Stayed on Saturday night. Looks as though there has been some redecoration of bedrooms and linen and towels were fresh and clean. But.... Signs of old mould on bathroom ceiling, really noisy even after closing time and strong foisty smell in bar area where breakfast was served and remnants of crisps etc on the floor from occupants of the bar...

We stayed here after visiting the black sheep brewery with some friends. After going around all the pubs in Masham we found this to be our favorite. It had a great vibe and friendly staff. Excellent location, excellent food, friendly polite staff.The rooms were clean and comfortable.Although the stairs were steep, Paul offered to carry our luggage however there was no need as the stairs were manageable. spent 2 nights while visiting local attractions.friendly staff couldn't be more helpful. breakfast was freshly cooked and plenty of it.we stayed in room 7 on the top floor which has a very steep stair well which was fine for us but beware if your not good on your feet.the room was clean and a good size , this was classed...

We had a few drinks in here while in masham for the weekend . Its got a Great warm welcoming feel about the bar area especially as both real fires were lit , lovely . Nice and relaxed atmosphere which seemed to be popular with the locals as well as tourists. Will defiently be calling in again .

After reading some of the latest reviews we set of for a weekend away with slight trepidation but there was absolutely no need to worry a fun weekend was had by all .
