We spent 4 nights there in August, and between the fishing and the Karaoke, we experienced alot of fun. I recommend this for all families to stay at when going to Rice Lake or if you are looking for a cottage to stay at. The owners are fine people and very comfortable to talk with. I hope to come again... More

My wife and I have stayed at Plank Road three times in the last two years. There are new owners since 2010 and Etienne and Lydia are fantastic hosts. They've put alot of time and money into improving the park and cottages and any feedback prior to 2010 should be disregarded by any possible vacationers. All the basic essentials provided... More

Horrible. No sheets and you get charged for guests that visit you after nine who only stay for an hour (25 bucks for every visitor.) Apparently because they are using their water.

These young guests reserved for 2 people and arrived with 3 for a one bedroom cottage. We gave the courtesy of one extra person at no charge. After 9 pm, an additional 4 people showed up without approval and when approached, they became confrontational and disrespectful. 2 people left at about 10:30 and the others were still on site when... We decided to explore the wonderful driving roads of Northumberland County on our Motorcycles. Gores Landing was very central to our day trips. Our cottage was clean and everything worked. The hosts, Etienne and Lydia and family were great. They were very accomodating. The place is well kept and the scenery is beautiful.

Rustic and laid back charm. Small, unpretentious cottages that meet all your basic needs. Beautiful lake view, good for fishing but not for swimming. Historic village, nice for walks. Can rent boats & quiet. Have visited often.

We were looking for a fisherman's retreat. Wow our cottage was originally a boat house hanging over the water and recently redone with a small dock for our boat and a breathtaking view! Brian and Laura, the owners, were warm and friendly and managed to create the perfect environment to relax and have fun. Of course the fishing was fantastic,... More

We stayed at Plank Road Cottages for 4 days, 3 nights. The photos on the site are exactly how it is. They state " rustic, historic feel". Very true. It's a place to relax and enjoy the fishing experience. The site area is small. Not a lot of open space. We really didn't expect anything else. We have stayed at... More
