Travellers' Choice
The Capo Spartivento Lighthouse was built in 1856 by the Italian Navy. During the last war it was machine-gunned by American planes and, later on, it functioned as the lighthouse keepers residence until the late 80s. It has lit the way for seamen for over 150 years, slicing the darkness like a sword with its welcoming beam of light, is now fully restored and works as a luxury hotel without losing its original function.

I believe there are no words precise enough to describe the beauty of this place, the perfect set-up, the service, the nature around, the food, the people and first the staff like Nadia, Laura, Leonardo, Daniele, Andrea, and the great super manager of the place and I'm sure I forgot other cool friends working at the Faro.Sorry but the memories are so perfect that everythng is part of it. Ancient walls still alive, calm and nature around you and you really feel taken care of. Breakfast is a story of local food prepared by the super chef, aperitif around the pool is just amazing and on top the dinner changes every night according to the fresh seafood or fish of the day, together with local dishes and desserts (and I'm sure there are also vegetarian or vegan requests). We went there late September, so calm and beauty were ruling. Pleasure of meeting baby toads or goats during the day (we love animals). Beauty of the wind and the sea right down. It's very practical to go to the beach walking to the great Cala Cipolla cove or to take a car and visit the multifaceted coves just 10/20 minutes away. Or to take a lazy day in the 2 different swimming pools located at the main building or at the lighthouse keepers building on the roof. The care in details is there and I want to thank the owner and the staff for this. True not super easy to find, yet we all have information enough to go there. A place to go for ever.

A Faro that still works is a unique setting for a great Q time! Offering Spectacular Views, Wonderfully Designed and Big Rooms and Very Friendly Staff. Food is excellent (never had such a Breakfast Experience) and dinner menu is served with excellent wines. My wife and I loved it very much and we will come back...For Sure!!👍🏻

I stayed here with my husband and 2 adult daughters on our arrival day in Sardinia. What a great way to start our 12 days on this beautiful island. The lighthouse has been beautifully restored and is in the beautiful area of Chia. But beyond its beauty is the most incredible service I have ever experienced. Every meal was exceptional. We started with a light lunch of traditional pasta and salad with a delicious Surrau Rose. The dinner was a set menu with a starter of octopus and the best sea bass I can remember having . The breakfast the next day was an incredible display meats, cheeses, eggs and even a pistachio cake . I mean the best meal we had in Sardinia!! We stayed in the rooms in the lighthouse . The rooms were beautiful with comfortable beds, Smeg refrigerators and beautiful toiletries. You cannot miss this experience if you travel to Sardinia!! But, do not forget to download the travel instructions like we did !! It’s not easy to find. They’ll send you the directions so don’t think you can find this on your own !! It took us 4 hours, and numerous stops to ask !!

Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Impeccable service. Exquisite food. And the location is possibly one of the best anywhere in the world. My only complaint is that they should not allow children. It’s a quiet and relaxing place and not really ideal for kids to be running and screaming.

The location is possibly the most amazing place I've ever been. The staff were generally pretty good (and very nice people) but we could have benefited from a bit more formal interaction, especially on arrival, like things to do, etc. It would be good if they had some games, or books, or basically anything to offer guests. We had the feeling it was just a room and that's it, then you were left to yourself. A tour of the wine cellar, for example, or some information about the history of the lighthouse. The breakfast was AMAZING - the highlight, in fact. Dinners were great, if a little expensive at 100 euros per person, without drinks. I would only ask that the staff give guests a few hours to consider if they want to stay for dinner. For us they asked at breakfast and made it seem that they really expected a decision by the end of breakfast. I would have appreciated "please let us know by midday", for example. On check out the manager didn't even recognise my presence. She did ask my girlfiend "was everything OK" but it was more rhetorical than anything. She certainly was't begging for our feedback. I would stay again simply for the location and I imagine that, because of this, there's little motivation for the management to improve but, if they did, it might be the most perfect hotel in the world.
