We stayed one night in Sean's GH during our trip to Tiger Leaping Gorge. We had booked thanks to Xin Tuo Ecotourism. We had a beautiful room, very clean, romantic and comfortable. The terras is very nice, very clear and has a stunning view on the mountains around. The food at the guesthouse is very good. We even had chance...

Our second visit (first in 2011) to Sean's as part of an Action Asia 100km Ultramarathon held over three days around and particularly above Tiger Leaping Gorge in Yunan Province. When you have raced up to 40 km per day at altitudes of 3000m you need a decent place to stay and Sean's is excellent. The owners and staff speak...

We stayed here as a group of 8 friends in the middle of March. We finished the TLG hike and pushed on to Walnut Grove as all the guidebooks say to do. We really enjoyed our one night here. We sat out on the patio enjoying the views and ordering dishes to try. The food was phenomenal. Large portions and...

A nice stop on our journey to the Gorge. I was really hesitating, based on the mix reviews on here and other platforms. However, our room was one of the best and that view is one of a kind. The food at the restaurant was very good, although quite slow (but this is because everything is homemade). We had no...

We stayed here on our second night doing the Tiger Leaping Gorge trek. Sean's offers clean and comfortable rooms and good food. There are also very nice outdoor areas at the guesthouse to eat dinner / relax after trekking. Sean also has good knowledge of the local area and can help with onward treks as add-ons to the main gorge...

Why go past Tina's for another mile to Sean's? For the best views of Yulong Snow Mountain; the opportunity to experience the life in this working Tibetan farm community - the goats being driven down the street, the people working in the walnut orchards, and the women gossiping on their doorsteps; and the expansive hospitality offered by Sean and his...

My hubby and I stayed at Sean's way back in 2008 and we both still have wonderful memories of the 3 days we spent there. The place looks to have grown a bit in that time but has not lost any of it's charm. Sean was experienced with guiding us and with what a variety of hotel guests need and...

This is my first very negative review, and it has a number of reasons. First of all, after reading on the web site "If you need any more help just let us know here and We will be happy to help you as much as We can. You can call directly ...", I called the listed phone number. I asked...

Stayed here for one night, went for the cheap double bed room for 70 had a shared toilet/shower area downstairs. As it was low season I think we may have been the only ones there so it was fine, hot water both times we showered. Room faced the mountains and was perfectly warm enough with the duvet and blankets provided....

We almost stopped at Tina's (so tired) but so glad we didn't! Walking down to Walnut Grove you see a different part of the gorge. Staff are friendly, the food good (try the dumplings, walnut and berry porridge) and rooms warm. In the morning they showed us the lower track to walk to the river and an amazing end to...
